Hey, B: I think BigNate has just provided an idea for a new event at Nationals for Nick. Car pulling while on a unicycle.
And this was the FIRST pull with harness and rope. My second (and last for the day), went much quicker and yes, I was lower and my feet were like pistons.
spatts: It WAS fun. Total blast. Wild, huh? Great way to work the legs, too. You can get that harness from Ironmind *hint, hint*
When all was said and done, we (Tod, Julie and Brice) pulled 6x each. Twice each set up. Pulling with only a rope (hand over hand), pulling with harness, pulling with harness and rope. Tod and Brice performed pulls with two cars (the El Camino and Ko's Nissan), Julie ended her day with two pullls with the two cars and I just pulled either the EL or the Nissan.

This is our fearless leader, Tod. He's pulling both the El Camino and my BF's Nissan.
This photo will also illustrate the difference of just pulling with a harness and harness w/rope. With just the harness, you need to stay low, low, low to the ground; feet working like pistons. With the rope, you still stay low, but not as low as you need to be able to also pull.
Another one. This time me pulling with rope the Nissan.
Now, the trick here is, baby powder. Yup, that's baby powder spread all over the platform. Chalk for the hands, baby powder for the butt. You drive back with legs; arms, back assisting. The grip is what gives out first.
This pull was rather funny. When I first began, it was like "holy shit!"; the truck ain't movin' an inch not even a centimeter. I'm thinkin' "am I THIS whimpy?". Then I hear this laugh from behind the wheel of the truck and it's Tod: he had left the emergency brake on. Very funny.
BTW: I got the truck to where it was just a bit past the El.
