Fructose and Galactose are the only Catrbs in nature that illicit NO insulin response

OMEGA, this may be true but isn't fructose stored in the liver and only burned for energy as a last resort? I've always been told that because of this fructose will actually contribute to fat gain.. Is this true? Hopefully not, then I can eat a lot more fruit.

Maybe for post workout but that's it. Low glycemic carbs are best for dieting. I agree with Ross on the small amount of carbs to be eaten with all meals with the exception for the meal before bed.

NOT ALL APPLES!

APPLES are very tricky...stay way. :)

I know. Never trust an apple as your source for carbs or anything else. Sneaky little fu%#ers will rip you off when you least expect it.

I know this is in the wrong forum but there are so many knowledgeable people in here. And you could say it involves AAS because I'm on a cycle right now.

So I'm on a cutter and I don't want to lower my carbs too much. Is it OK if I eat about half of my carbs from apples, the other carbs from possibly oatmeal and milk? Will the sugars hinder my fat loss? Will it just make me fatter? This could also pertain the milk I drink because it has sugars, too.

why would you want to do that? do you live in an apple orchard?

So far I've only been down to about 10% bodyfat in the past, but the majority of my carbs came from milk, wheat bread, white rice and fruits. I had no problem with energy levels or looking good on the low calorie diet.

Years later I tried the textbook super low glycemic carbs and only ate oats, brown rice, yams etc and felt like hammered dog shit and lost muscle and looked puffy.

My body also does not like large amounts of fiber. Seeing the quantity of fiber some guys eat just makes my stomach turn. Even when gradually upping my fiber intake it was unbearable and caused all sorts of issues I won't go into here.

Different strokes for different folks I think.

no, apples are very easy to carry around and I don't need to prepare them to eat. They don't taste as sweet as peaches or oranges or nectarines or plums or grapes or many of the other fruits to me, so I thought it'd be the best fruit option.

I'm just going to stick with oats, whole wheat bread (w/o high fructose corn syrup or enriched flour), beans, and more oats.

There needs to be certan amount of Liver glycogen to burn fat more effeciently. It also modulates mood tremendously for the better.

Essentially its about net calories burned, so really a carb is a carb an a calorie is a calorie.

I prefer fruit in moderation due to its ability to give fast clean and low insulin response energy, this way you dont have a massive peak and trough of plasma insulin levels. But at the same time you get preciuos nutrition and energy WHEN needed. (assuming your fruit choice is wise)

so basically I view Fruit on cutters as a strategic way to get energy with added nutritients and pick me up in mood.

natures gift to us if used in moderation
