Loved the bi's & tri's combo... I have put on some serious muscle in the upper body but I need more definition, I think I will switch over to lighter weights and higher repition today to change things up!!!!

Are you still in comp prep? It is good to change things up for sure, I'd rather be lifting heavy but working through some issues & I cannot get 'hurt' ... so it's what I call a great change and a little muscle conditioning :)

In GENERAL ... IMHO, You want to add upper body mass I'd cut the cardio, up the weights & hit it HARD, but you're in comp prep & I don't know what you look like right now, or what you're working with , what you have done, haven't done, responding to certain train etc ... Off Season ideas you'll have to work on this ...

I bulked & train HARD & HEAVY to get this upper body size ... & not in comp prep ... & completely listened to my body .. I guess it's different when you're a competitor having a trainer or a guide to follow .. I am my guide.... and honestly, no one knows me better than myself.

Best of luck , have to come check your loggage...

Hi Bunny!!!

I totally bulked during off season that now it is just time to cut cut cut away... 8 weeks out right now!!! Been doing a lot of endurance cardio... lots of intervals & sprints... giving all I got!!!! Same with the weight training lots of drop sets and just pumping iron till I turn blue... ( i mean point of failure).... I am feeling really good about competing this year and so does my trainer!!!!... I love it when you post in my log... lol..

I have fitness related goals & ventures on the menu ... this is my lifestyle. I do not have a specific # goal's, rather always testing things out to see what I need to do to get to where I need to be, and how I need to go about doing it ... always climbing higher & higher to the next rung on My Success Ladder ... BUT my priorities & responsibilites right now are a bit jumbled ... I have so much to do before I give myself my break this Memorial Day weekend, which is 'my getaway' from life... alot needs to be in order before I leave.

- At this point I am not where I need to be for maintenance, not sure I will be for a while. I am working on some things on the side which never seem to work out, but that simply means it's not my time... This made me laugh ... Wow bunny!!! you're doing great! I don't know if you remember me because it's been ages since I've been on but I'm getting back into the swing of things now that things aren't so chaotic for me. I really let myself fall out of my routine that I loved so much and i was doing well until after summer last year so I'm going to be using you for motivation to help me lose the 15lbs I gained from tooooooo much drinking and partying :( I've been at it again for about 2 weeks now and just got back into a real gym this morning (i'm in the process of moving so...workout sessions have been crap) and i feel great!! Keep up the great work, talk to ya soon!!

You have a unlimited source of knowledge in Thumper - as an ex-boxer, boxing is my cardio of choice....althought I think you may like Muay Thai better - Thai rules boxing - depending on where you live there may be some pretty good options.

Looks like your working towards the MillionDollarBaby already - I am assuming the 30sec's is all-out? I think you will like doing it for 3minute rounds w/ 1 minute of slow jumping inbetween - try it for 3-4 rounds before you get on the heavy bag - money baby money! 45 minutes of boxing is a killer.

Trust me ... I am ALL about getting INTO martial arts .. know a little LITTLE about Muay Thai ... & can handle the cardio & RELEASE ... UGH I need a KB'ing parnter to hold the pads!!! No hopping around aerobic boxing fitness for me ... (sorry ladies) ... I need to have some serious bag beatin' time... esp RIGHT NOW ...
 
Bunny, Thai Boxing and sparring seriously has to be the best cardio for both conditioning and calorie burning. With an actual sparring partner (or just someone to hold up the pads),3 minute rounds with a 1 minute rest is incredibly tough. Kinda like HIIT only more intense I think. After 6 rounds, just holding up your arms can be a challenge. Wrestling, BJJ or any type of grappling is really tough too. I've seen people get shredded just doing Martial Art training and weights. Beats the elliptical any day. (God I HATE that thing.) :)

UGH I KNOW THIS!!!! I use to do this with old Training Partner ... THAT is one thing I miss ... Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :(

Well, since you are not here to spar with I'll figure something out ... unless I spar'd with that lady from last night, look'ed like she would phunk me up lol :) Although she did she "You got the stamina, physique & upper body for this ... it's easy..." and was in shock I stopped my w/o to compliment her.. I do that ALL the time to everyone I see making the effort & you just FEEL you're not crossing any line .. ya know?

The step mill is even worse. LOL. I did ramps the other night. MF!!! Another shirt soaking cardio session and I wasn't even on that long! It's the 110 pound people bouncing up and down watching T.V. and smiling that gets to me. :)

Spar with that lady and take her out. When she's down just start screaming in her face. "Now what!!!" Challenge everyone in the gym "Who else wants to be a hero!".....Ah,I'm overtired. :)
