No need to be sad, I am happy, feeling better & cannot believe I didn't land in jail for killin' a client ... the curve ball he threw at me today OMG ... If he wasn't 8 + hours driving distance away I woulda hurt em .. bad :)

Got 1 outta 4 so far :) Better than 0 outta 4 :D

I should be calling clients but I've just about enough I can take today. 20 minutes of checking up to do & I am outta here .:D

That is just one part of acres of forest preserves with trails and the like... Garbage cans set up along the strip of the parking lot for sprints ... and the grass is 'not to hard, yet worn down by the horse trails that travel thru the area :)

It's really beautiful .. spend almost every day or so there last summer... too hard these days ...

That's how it is right now, the weather, I LOVE IT, LOVE IT.. The leaves all turned & not fallen yet though... it's so pretty... we supposedly had flurries again last night but if the sun is out this weekend, I'm going to hit some stairs. :)

The trails through there are fantasic. I would make it a point to go there every morning but that area is VERY traffic ridden in the mornings and you cannot reply on the rangers to open the gates in time (sunrise). I would be intraffic an houron the way back. Too bad I can't start work at 10 or 11. :) I'd work until 6-7 and be happy with it since my days start so early and I like to be in bed before 10 pm.

IMO, unless you're a sprinter and can pound out 20, 100% effort, 80 yard sprints with no problem 5 days a week (and expect to walk the next day) I would suggest keeping the sprints to 2-3 days a week (as you would with HIIT), doing Progressive Sprints, probably working from 60-80% intensity @ least 10, maybe with 5 warm ups. Anything harder than that as a novice, you may end up tearing/pulling something. You can always 'Up' the intensity or add a day as you see fit and tweak the sprinting to you, as you would any other workout regimen. I’m sure Some may feel THAT is enough for cardio, and it might very well be for YOU or them, but I opt to use the other days for Steady State Cardio and/or Stairs. Cardio, to me, helps with sanity issues and stress relief & I love it – also prevents me popping Xanax, Klonopin , Ativan, Valium (need I go on?)

Now the STAIRS that I have incorporated in my routine has given me some FANTASTIC GLUTES and incredible definition, plus I am creative on how I do them, I just don’t walk up and down…(2 at a time, side stepping, sprinting, hopping, descent calves raises, etc..) Add to that the intro to some plyo work, WHICH I LOVE, and it definitely has shocked my system/body ... Plyo work kicks my ass hardcore b/c my body is NOT use to that type of training...
