I have no idea about causes and susceptibility but arnica cream works a treat for speeding their healing!

I bruise easily cuz it's "the way I am." Plus I do what Sassy does & walk into the gym equipment.

I wouldn't start supplementing extra Iron BEFORE going to the doctor and getting bloodwork done. Iron has toxicity levels, and while it is harder for women to reach those levels than men, it is still possible. Additionally, extra Iron has a distinct side effect of severe constipation.

If you are taking a multivit with around 100% RDA Iron, I wouldn't supplement more before seeing your doctor.

quite right i forgot about this.

If you go to most pharmacy you will notice iron is behind the counters..

You can buy Arnica cream in any vitamin , supplement or healthfood store. I pick mine up in the UK whenever I go back and its not too expensive, maybe $5 a tube? I also just got a lotion from bodybuilding. com which has arnica, MSM and glucosamine for joints which is very good but plain and simple arnica is just brilliant for ugly bruising.
For me it more than halves the healing time..

Thanks, I'm definitely going to buy some of that cream this weekend because I don't want any nasty bruises while I'm in my bikini at the river!!!
