Box Squats

Just did box squats for the first time and they were fucking great. My legs are smoked. I have a bad right knee and can't squat below parallel even with a brace, but I can box squat with a light wrap and my knee doesn't bother me at all. :D

After not being able to train legs heavy, and not being able to squat at all for about a year now(loosing all symmetry)...I can start really doing legs again!!!!:D :D

Just had to tell someone........ bye bye lawn dart body:D
 
Box squats will hit the quads hard if a narrow stance is used, however the beauty of box squatting is that you can take a very wide stance and target the hips and hams very effectively. Box squats build explosiveness out of the hole.
 
My stance is about 50" apart (from the widest part of my feet) which is wide for most bodybuilders yet narrow for most powerlifters. It seems to work well for me. Remember that box squats are better for a bodybuilder than no squats....
