BodyBuilding Mathmatics

Just curious............

I see alot of messages about people asking how many grams of protein, carbs, fat, ect I should be taking based on my weight. I know when I went to a bodybuilder for personal help and told him my goals, he broke out a calculator and starting doing all this math. And he was able to tell me what foods I should be eating and how many cals, protein, carbs, fat I should be eating per day.

I didn't know if anyone had any information on this?

Thanks

That is a really broad question. SPend some time int he diet forum searching around. You need to do some reading to gain some form of an information base.

you figure the amount of cals you should be eating, whether cutting or bulking, then you break it down by cals per gram of protein, carb and fat. carb and fat have 9 cals per gram, protein has 4 cals per gram.

what type of macro's you run is purely choice. some say 40/30/30, some say 50/20/30 etc...

from what I've read a typical bulker should be 18-20 cals per pound of body weight and a cutter is 12-14 cals per pound of body weight.

there's alot of information actually in this forum, do a search.

good luck.

eat healthy foods and the rest will take care of itself
if you want the math aim for about a gram of protein per lb of bodyweight
this isn't supposed to be rocket science
