Blood work done during long cycle...lots of protein in urine

not sure where I heard this but Arnold before he got into politics had an interview in which he admited using way too much protein while training(i guess he meant while he was on AAS). So, it is possible that eating too much protein even on AAS can't be processed anyway and maybe gets excreted in the urine. I tend to agree with Arnold on this one.
I weigh 240 and lean and my intake of protein ranges from 240-300 but more like 250 on average while on AAS. On occasions I pumped protein up passed 300 and can't honestly remember if there was any difference.
I've never had this test done but maybe I should now, huh

Last bloodwork I got done I had elevated amounts of protein, but she told me normal was 10 and mine was 30 so now I'm really confused. Anyone know how she got that number? Oh and maybee i shouldn't have missed that appointment with the kidney specialist huh.

Maybe it was a different test? his may have been more in depth or your MD wanted yo uon the lower side?

didhe do any other tests? Did he draw labs? what was your creatinine and BUN? I have asked several different MDs at work about high protien diets and the kidneys. he said the only documented test in journals that he knows of was done on pts already in renal failure and place on a high protien diet. how much protien do yo uintake daily?

I mentioned to the doctor that I work out and intentionally intake a lot of protein around 200+ grams on any day.

He said it is a different kind of protein, albumin, unrelated to whey protein etc-->

The most important urine proteins found with kidney disease are albumin and antibody fragments. Albumin is the most abundant protein in the blood and it is important in transporting other things around the body as well as keeping fluid from leaking out into the tissues.

Cut back on the sugar and up you intake of healthy fats and your cholesterol will plummet. High cholesterol is definitley due to high, crappy, carbs. When you do a CKD or at least a modified low carb diet, even eating tons of saturated fat, your blood lipids improve dramatically. I just don't buy into the fat making your cholesterol bad and I never will. I did a low carb diet over the winter and my total cholesterol went from 238 to 139. HDL went from 38 to 48 and triglycerides went from 430 something to 40. Something to think about. But pissing out the extra protein makes sense. My urea levels were/are high for that always. I get about 250g per day and I always wonder about guys like Mike Mahler talking about too much protein and kidney problems. I don't know about that, but I am positive on the cholesterol deal.

well, a common cause of albumin showing up in the blood would be the kidneys might be inflamed or damaged (nephritis)... barring this, do you have any issues with hypertension or any other cardiovascular diseas? Diabetes?

If I am not mistaken strenuous exercise such as weight lifting can increase it and painkillers.

Seemingly stupid question. Do your toes hurts? Reason being, excess urea can cause gout.

Bottom line; Bodybuilders eat a lot of protein and gear increases nitrogen retention. It can happen.

Treatment: Cherry juice. (Yep, don't know why but it works).

All the water you can drink and more.

EFA's

Increase fiber.

No alcohol.

And of course, lower the protein content.

Feel better.

Cholesterol is 255 but it was 222 before I started anything so I;m not too worried about that. I do eat a lot of whole eggs and my fair share of icecream :(. I'm a hardgainer so I don't put much weight on.

Anyways I had over 6x time the acceptable amount of protein in my urine. Doc sent me back for a 24 hour urine test and still protein is high. 892mg where it should be between 30-150mg.

Liver was slightly high but he was not worried about it.

Current cycle 3months Test 800 /wk and EQ 800 /wk.

In the past have had cycles include dbol, winny, deca, and adrol once for a short time.

Anyone else get this type of a result from blood/urine test?

I have to go see a kidney specialists but can't be seen for 3 more weeks. In a lot of what I have read this looks bad.

did you stop eating 12 hours before you got your blood work done? if not, this can cause your cholesterol reading to be high.

do you remember what your readings were for your HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol) and Triglycerides
