Blood work done during long cycle...lots of protein in urine

Cholesterol is 255 but it was 222 before I started anything so I;m not too worried about that. I do eat a lot of whole eggs and my fair share of icecream :(. I'm a hardgainer so I don't put much weight on.

Anyways I had over 6x time the acceptable amount of protein in my urine. Doc sent me back for a 24 hour urine test and still protein is high. 892mg where it should be between 30-150mg.

Liver was slightly high but he was not worried about it.

Current cycle 3months Test 800 /wk and EQ 800 /wk.

In the past have had cycles include dbol, winny, deca, and adrol once for a short time.

Anyone else get this type of a result from blood/urine test?

I have to go see a kidney specialists but can't be seen for 3 more weeks. In a lot of what I have read this looks bad.

I just had blood work done my cholestrol was 176 but i also had protine in my urine mune said a trace though i also had high iron that made my doc nervous dont know why he knows i am on aas and you will have high iron on aas. anyway if i was you i would stay off for awhile and see if everything goes back to normal

and awhile i mean a year or better

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. I've done tons of research onloine and can't find any link to AAS abuse and proteinuria. I'll explain to the kidney specialist about all I'taken and hopefully that will help him determine a reason. I would just hate to say " hey doc I've been on this a that for a while..." and he just says oh that must be it. I'd almost rather have him figure it out through tests.

Here is an informative sight:

well heres my story with cholestrol before i ever did aas my cholestrol was 289 good cholestrol was 30 i was put on various meds till i found 1 that didnt fuck me up and that was vytorin i took that and cholestrol went to 195 after i started aas 2 cycles first was sus only 500mg a week wasnt really good cycle but the next 1 was test e 500mg a week and deca 300 mg a week and after that cycle i stopped taking my cholestrol meds and went on strict diet to lose excess fat i had left i leaned out real good and right now my cholestrol is in the 170`s and good is 37 needs to be over 40 but its close and that with no meds so i guess my moral of this story is aas help my cholestrol along with diet cut out the fats and it will go down

Last bloodwork I got done I had elevated amounts of protein, but she told me normal was 10 and mine was 30 so now I'm really confused. Anyone know how she got that number? Oh and maybee i shouldn't have missed that appointment with the kidney specialist huh.

Not sure bro. Both my Primary Care and Nephrologists told me about the 30mg 150mg range. Closer to 30 the better.

Here is a wepbage I found backing up those figures. Not sure what level your doctor is talking about... maybe creatinine levels?

http://www.pacificlife.com/Channel/Health+Center/Health+and+Medical+News/Proteinuria.htm

"...Proteinuria is the presence of excessive protein in the urine, usually greater than 30mg/dl on a spot sample or more than 150 mg/24 hours in adults. It is generally an unwelcome surprise in underwriting, because many times it is a finding in an otherwise healthy and asymptomatic individual who was headed straight for a standard or preferred policy issue that is suddenly derailed. Proteinuria can be persistent (present in all samples) or intermittent (caused by a transient illness or an acute problem)...."

Maybe she was talking about your BUN level. Stands for blood urea nitrogen level and helps to measure kidney function. Normal range is about 7 to 20.

I was always under the assumption that you just piss out unused protein or it gets excreted out and so is nothing to worry about.

I'm pretty sure there isn't one single study anywhere that can directly link high protein cinsumption or AAS use and high protein consumption to kidney issues.
