Beef Jerkey

Tater Salad

New member
Hey guys...I had a real dumb idea. I was sitting at work yesterday and I decided that for lunch, because I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat, that I was going have beef jerkey. I looked at the back of the bag, and it surprisingly sounded pretty good...I got 46g. of Protein and only managed to suck down like 300 calories eating the whole bag. This seems like a pretty good meal (In terms of grams of protein vs. total calories consumed). I know there has to be some catch that made that meal really really un-healthy, but I couldn't find it. Any thoughts?

sodium babe. that prepreackaged stuff is loaded with it as a preserver.

best to make your own but that is a job and half! :)

yeah I saw all that sodium on there...but I'm not gonna lie...I really don't know much about sodium and it's bad effects...so I just kinda ignored it

sodium ain't bad per se, the saying of - salt of the earth - meant once it was a richer source of commodity than gold, and so it's not important, but life dependant, like h20. your minerals are the body's electrons that keepo your heart beating.

too much, too little...is very hard to gauge, and so it's best to just drink up on your water, and redress any electrolyte imbalance with extra rich K+foods :)

Na+

and nitrosamines :worried:

The sodium isn't the problem it's the "other" preservatives they add. It's the same reason turkey breast lunch meat is bad.

^^or any other canned shit, anything with a long shelf life.

tins were designed for wars and rationing, not everyday consumption lol.
