Hey are you doing those rack deads curl grip? - looks strange :)

overhand is safer on your biceps - congrats anyway

Interesting idea doing the rows down to the rack pins - never thought of that

No, rack deads were done with the over/under powerlifting grip. It would definitely be weird all over the place if I took the curl grip. I hope that clears it up :)

I thought about the idea of the pins right after I completed the deads. I thought, why not give close grip bar rows a shot with a spot. What better than a pin for a spot.

That was a PR too btw! Thanx for the solid brother! :) Do you think you will try them like that?

I haven't done barbell rows in quite some time, since I PR'ed at 225x6 last year. I'm trying to get my dumbell rows up to the 140lb dumbells - largest at my gym before I switch back :)
Currently at 110s, will be going up to 115s in a few weeks time.
I find barbell rows easier for some reason, so a 140lb dumbell row should translate to 315lb barbell rows for reps - I hope :D

Oh yeah about the powercleans - stick with em, but it will take a good few months before you get the feel for them - they should feel like - shoving the floor away with your legs while violently shrugging. Try em from the hang first before going to the floor. that will make it easier. Do front squats as well - that will teach you the correct racking position.

I like them a lot :) I will definitley keep throwing them in. My back really likes them. :)

Are you using them right now?

I'm using them at the moment. They have been a big reason for the rapid increase in my full deadlift. 264 x 3 x 8 sets last time around, with quite a bit left in me.

I don't use a powerlifting grip. Overhand for both hands when it comes to rack deads, but not full deads. It has really helped with my grip strength overall. If I use a powerlifting grip I could add more weight, but I'm torn between the grip-strength benefits and the fact that it could have a better carry-over to my full deadlift since I use a powerlifting grip for that. Plus it would enable more weight to be lifted...

BTW I remember watching your bar rows. That actually triggered me to take that angle on bar rows. I also remember your db rows. Are you still turining the db on the way up? :)

And yes a 140 db row should definitely coorelate to 315 for reps. Thats strong. Thanx for the aolid advice again brother. It is a challenege!

I am gonna try to use a diff't grip next time. I want grip strength too! I just figured since my deadlift is perfromed with an over/under grip so should everything else. I'm stealing your idea lololool :)

you moved 315 like there was no weight on the bar...looked like you were warming up! awesome bro
