i'm not fat, but i'm not as skinny as i want to be, i want to lose around 20-25lbs before july/august which seems feasible.

anyways, can you tell me if the following foods are ok? i want to limit my carbs to not have them as much, but i dont wan to be too strict

-morning: oatmeal w/ glass of water -OR- 6 egg whites
- lunch: two slices of wheat bread with nothing on it except all natural peanut butter, bottle of water (this is at school, so i cant have anything good really)
-dinner: plain white chicken with a little ketchup, salad (lettuce/tomatos/cucumbers), and broccoli (broccoli every other day). sometimes i might have fried peppers instead of say the salad or broccoli, is this ok? its a small bowl, not a insane ammount
- snacks: beef jerkey, small bowl of grapes/strawberries (4 strawberries, handful of grapes.. usually maybe every 2-3 days, not everyday)

is that ok for someone who doesnt want to be too strict with their diet, as i said im not fat but i want to lose 20-25lbs before july

thanks yo

I'd take in MUCH more protein if I were you. It looks like you are taking in less than 100g protein and MAJORLY calorie deficient (even for cutting). You are setting yourself up for MAJOR muscle loss... You should do 10-12x BW (or 10-12x LBW) depending on your activity level. And eat more often - eat small meals, every 2-3 hours.

For example....
Meal 1 - 6 egg whites, small carb
Meal 2 - Protein Shake, Fat
Meal 3 - Lean Protein, Veggie
Meal 3 - Protein Shake, Fat
Meal 4 - Lean Protein, Veggie

Anything Fried should be a big no-no while cutting - even in small amounts. Hell, even when not cutting....fried usually is very unhealthy.

I agree with Daisy, more protein and more calories! You don't want your body to switch into starvation mode - which will slow your metabolism and cost muscle mass.

hey well i tried adding some more protein.. heres what i had today, is it good or too much or not enough (as far as how much food im eating, not protein)

morning (7am): bowl of oatmeal + water
lunch (11:30am): 2 slices wheat bread + all nat. peanut butter + bottle water
came home(2pm): bowl of broccoli, bowl of salad (lettuce/tomato/cucumber, one tbsp fat free italn. dressing), small bowl of white chicken
later on (5pm): plate of white chicken, green beans, peppers (not fried), + diet coke
8pm: 4 egg whites + 2 sausage patties (they say 0 carbs on them) w/ water

that's it.. isdiet coke is ok? 0cal, 0carb, 0fat.. i usually try to only have one a day, everything else from that is WATEr, just one diet coke..

and about the sausager.. it has like 240 calories, 24g fat, 0 carbs, 11g protein for 2 of them, so i just had 2.. i dont plan on eating them everyday.. are they ok?

did i eat tOO much? i dont wanna eat too much and end up getitng fat instead of cutting

It's a pain in the ass, but it will enlighten you as to what your weak points are. Just check the side of the box and find out how much fat, protein and carbs you're getting.

Aside from that, PROTEIN in the AM gives me a TON of energy. I wouldn't even think about starting a day without it. In fact, you should have a healthy serving of protein with EVERY meal. I try to get 30-40g/meal (and I'm on a 1600 cal. cutting diet right now).
