I couldnt agree more.....especially when you are applying it to something that is INTENDED for something else (DNP), and i am taking into consideration that many compounds can be used in a variety of ways.

when we recrystallized several different things in organic II, i sure as heck never got much of a result, well except for the time that somehow we recrystallized acetanilide (i think, i dont remember which time this happened) using water instead of the toluene that we were supposed to. It might not have been toluene either, i dont remmeber, we did several recrystallization experiments.
