just wondering what are the diff. things that ppl do when say you are traveling and have no access to a gym, or have access to the limited hotel gym that just has a few cardio machines.

Just curious to see the various things that ppl do to stay on point?

One of those inflatable balls is actually kinda useful. You can do squats and pushups with them for a decent workout. Go outside for run for a while, do dips between chairs, etc.

The inflatable ball is good. Resistance bands give you some creative options. Otherwise if I have control of where I'm going to be staying or travel too, I will check the hotel online to see what facilities they have. You can also bring your own pilates / yogo, whatever tape or DVD. Otherwise I used to have a Gold's Gym membership that I could travel on. Or just suck it up & get a week pass at a local gym. Just like every other aspect of this uber fitness lifestyle, it takes a little bit of planning ahead. And sometimes if you just flat out dont' have time or resources to train, you can just plan ahead on your meals and consider your travel time as recovery time. Might also be a good time to locate a good massage therapist for your off time & train like a bitch before & after your travel.

This probably won't help you at all, but I thought it was interesting...

My mom pointed out an article to me in one of her magazines yesterday (I think it was MORE or something). It gave a list of hotels that will supply you with cardio/freeweights upon request. You could ask for pretty much anything and they'd have it in your room for you when you arrived. They'd also stock your mini-fridge with protein shakes or bars.

Good to know if you ever become rich and lazy :p

Wow that's so cool! You know, we managed to priceline a really nice hotel, so maybe they will do it. u neve know! Certainly good to know! how cool. thx!!

i run the staris at hotels...bright and early int eh morning, then i go outside and run...i bring reistance badn, and a few weights..i never brought my stability ball though, cuase its already inflated..and it would be hell to carry around, i also bring my yoga mat, and most hotels have a pool
