Thanks for the post 24 a lot of the symptoms are typical feelings of pre-comp prep no wonder you just pressed on. I hope you get well soon. :rose:

I would actually say Pre-comp + post-comp --- I've been telling you guys about the post-comp rebound and all the actions that everyone does on their first show(s) for quite a while - there's a depression aspect to it as well as a physical rebound, coupled w/ the extreme swings in first depletion then the post-show celebration. EVERYTHING IN MODERATION. The pre-comp, esp the last week can't really be helped much, but the post-comp is very controllable. Emotionally and physically.

I've been thru the complete shut down and it sucks. I was physically & emotionally shut down for 3 months in 2001. When your system is overtaxed it manifests itself in physical symptoms as well as emotionally. That's what sucks the most because now not only do you feel like shit, but it literally leaks out on to everyone around you.

Its definitely a learning experience and also helps you to learn what your body can handle and that in turn, helps you (forces you) to adjust your priorities sometimes.

Yeah we'll see what happens with me!!! This is all really good to know!

MY heart goes out to you 24K!!!! Feel better and take all the time you need.

Thank you everyone :rose:

Bunny I'm not feeling too good, just friggin tired but I can't sleep this is the thing that's starting to get to me, I maybe slept 3 hours last night, just tossed and turned all night, which is becoming an every night thing.

QT yes exactly it's hard to tell the difference because as competitiors we're always exhausted anyway at comp time.

Sassy you're so right but this isn't like the post-comp depression like I went through last year. I actually had another goal to reach which was a show that was 6 weeks away from the last 1, but obviously I won't be doing that right now, cause well my health is more important.

I don't feel fat or think I look fat this time, lol I like the way I look, I didn't get crazy out of control with the food. I made sure to control the post-comp :)

I'll be going to Miami for a vacation next week so hopefully relaxation in the sun and lying on the beauitful beaches half naked will help me relax.

Im sorry this shi* is happening to you!!! I know this might not be the best advice but when I was having trouble sleeping, I would drink a little bit of nyquil and pass right out. It helped A LOT!!!! Desperate situations call for desperate measures. I remember that those nyquil nights I would sleep so GOOD and so HARD!!!!!

**Get well soon***
