adding whey protein to yoghurt?

Tomer

New member
I read in another thread it is good to cut out dairy.. or avoid all 'white' foods.

what about yoghurt? I make my own yoghurt so i know what goes into it Usually use 1% milk to make it..

I was thinking of adding a scoop of my whey protein to my yoghurt...

do you think its better to use milk.... or what yoghurt?

i guess its all up to me...but happy to hear what you think of it!

thanks!

I hope you mean to add it AFTER you make the yogurt! It will mess it up if you add it to the milk! Adding it to the finished product makes a mildly grainy pudding....I do it most nights for my bedtime snack and if I wake up and eat in the middle of the night.

No dairy is definitely a personal choice, IMO. Some people react to it worse than others. Unless you are cutting down for a competition, I see no reason to completely abstain from dairy unless you are lactose intolerant or have some specific reaction to it like bloating or indigestion. That said, yes, adding whey to all-natural yogurt is definitely a nice little protein/carb meal and you can even throw a little fruit or nuts in there too for additional flavor. The other alternative to yogurt/protein powder is simply cottage cheese.

I agree.....some people bloat from it so they cut it out.....The only issue I have with most yogurts is all the sugar they add - since you make your own you know what's in it.....
