I weighed in last night (unofficially) and was 223 1/2 lbs. I have been eating like a freaking bird for the last two weeks trying to get down to the 220 class, and still have to go sit in the damn steam room today.

I killed my wife, one of my kids, and two co-workers earlier this week. Some call it roid rage, and I am sure that is not helping matters any, but I am thinking it is more like starvation rage. I ate a tiny little bit of eggs and a diet pepsi for breakfast, and have not eat or drank anything since then. I have been chewing gum since I woke up so I don' t go nuts needing a drink.

PowerlifterJay, I have respected you for a long time, but after nearly killing myself to drop 10 lbs in 2 weeks, and still coming up 3.5 lbs short as of right now, I have a whole new respect for your ability to drop weight. When I was younger, and not on AAS, dropping weight was not a big deal. I don't even remember being grouchy when dropping. I don't know if it is fair to blame it on the AAS, but my appetite is through the roof!!! I can only think about the gallons of gatorade I will drink and the pounds of spaghetti I will eat after 7:00 tonight.

Thanks guys, letting me vent may have saved some lives.

Are you going to sweat the couple of pounds off? If so, have you done this before?


I cut 28 pounds in six days once, and proceed to have the worst day of my life. But I was a lot younger then. Was cramping so bad by weigh-in that I could barely hold still on the scale.

Take your time re-hydrating. Eat light at first and do not make yourself sick.

Just got back from another test run. Lost 3 lbs since last night at 6:00 p.m. Looks like I won't have to worry about sweating anything off. Not eating much and not drinking today looks like it is doing the trick.

B, I like your new handle. It fits perfectly but I'm surprised it was available. Hang in there, your almost home-free. When you get the urge to eat try to focus on your goals. I agree with Arioch about rehydrating and reloading. Take it slowly with smaller meals every hour to an hour and a half. That way your system won't be overwhelmed and you will utilize more of what you consume in the long run.

Speaking of eating. I would like to treat you, your family and BigOkie to a meal after the competition. We will celebrate your superior performance. Good luck and I'll see you tomorrow morning.

I was also surprised it was still available. I haven't eaten anything at all since the eggs this morning. The chewing gum seems to help. Can't wait till after weigh ins tonight.

After this I may go 242 for a while. But I really want to hit 500 at 220 and get on the PLUSA top 100 list. I think hitting top 100 1st year in the sport would be pretty cool.

B you are a crazy mo fugger! So i take it you lost the weight. Listen man one thing i neglected to say was is aint easy, or fun. Its gotta be done. I dont knwo exactly what you did but three days prior you could have carb depleted. Then take water pills several times a day, then laxative before bed. Morningof the weigh in use an enema then sit in sauna. Sweat then jump in cold shower then repeat till the last 5 or 7 lbs come off. 3lbs would have been cake! Once you weigh in drink orange juice first then gatorade. Then eat what ever you can all day long till the next day. Meanwhile replenish your self with pedialit. You should have that already. Drink the whole fuckin thing. Its what babys get when their dehydrated. Mix it with gatorade. Keep a scale by you and watch it go back up. Worse case senerio and actualy waht i am gonna do to make 220 weight for teh BB for cash this year is i will do my weigh loss thing then hook up an Iv at night to get back to normal. But 10lbs bro you will be fine in th emorning before the meet. Get up early so you can eat twice before you lift.

Good luck and work that freakin shirt into your groove! But stay in it. I see very high 400's. I would latch that shirt tight as hell (do a push up in the bottom position have somoen tighten the straps to holy hell in back) then take a stab at 500lbs. You might be surprised bro. Good luck.

didn't have to do anything quite that drastic this time, but as I get bigger, getting to 220 will require more and more creativity.

I am going to go 450, 475, 500 tomorrow. Putting on my tightest shirt for last two attempts.

After this meet, I am sending my loosest shirt to Karin's and having her take 2 or 3 inches out of the chest. It will go from my loosest shirt to by far the tightest.

I basically carb depleted and just have not eat much of anything for the last 3 days, and what little I have eaten has been almost all protein.

you guys work too hard. ever hear of lasix? most doctors will even give it to you for a one time use.

the other benefit of lasix is if you weight in 24 hrs before meet and make it, you can spend the next 12 hrs stuffing your face. your body will rebounding from the lasix so you will probably weigh more than you did before you lasix'd down.

be careful with diuretics. do your reading and find a doc if you can. but its NOT rocket science and i'll bet its safer than all those sauna sessions and ENEMAS (gross PLJAY :) )

One time when I had to make weight I used dandelion root pills 1.5 mg a pill and took 6 at a time eery few hours. I also got a big pack of RedMan chewing tobacco and started spitting like crazy. I filled up most of an empty 2-liter bottle of soda. Of course these arent as extreme or as good as other stuff like lasix or saunas but they helped me painlessly drop a few pounds the day of and day before the weigh in.
