9 months of progress

I've finally gotten into shape for the first time in my life. I got tired of looking at myself in the mirror and knew my life in the IT world was not going to help it get any better so I decided I had to do something.

I got a trainer at Gold's Gym which really got me motivated and today 9 months later my diet is better than ever (and getting better, still learn from EF on a daily basis) and my training is at its most intense. Well at Gold's every few months I would get a evaluation just to measure progress and I got a copy of it all to share with you guys and maybe help me notice anything that needs working on etc...

Here is a spreadsheet of the progress

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/hayrab/Progress.xls

For those that can't read .xls here is a crappy formatted text version.

Bulked for all of 01/06 just b/c I had hit kind of a plateau and wanted to switch it up for a while, was glad I did, I feel alot better about my upper body size now and the fat is dropping off quick now that Im back to eating better.

From 5/05 to 12/05 I was eating way too little, about 2000 cal a day and when I hit the plateau I just didn't know what else to try. Now Im losing fat eating almost 3000 calories a day I think the 1 month of bulking at 4000 cal really got my metabolism burning the way it should be.

So, hows it look?

I think this is terrific and very 'real". ::applause::

I don't know what your heigth is or your end goals.

I see you dumped a lot of inches from 9th month to 12th and only 2 pounds of body weight. That must have been an interesting time to see your body change so much.

Where will you go with this for 2006?

how come your arms went from 17 down to 15 but your BF nor weight really changed that much during the months of Oct-Dec...?

great job on the results you have gotten so far, and keep up the great work...

Not real sure on the arm size, I know I had a different person measure me around that time if it makes that much of a difference. Also, this was around the time I hit my plateau and was fighting at lowering calories and doing alot of cardio, I may have lost lots of muscle. I've learned my lesson there and was very pleased to gain 2" on shoulders and finally see my lifts finally go up on the 01/06 bulk (seated low row went from 105 to 180lb). I'll be doing these measurements myself from now on since I no longer have the trainer. I appreciated the training at Gold's I got lucky and got someone who really motivated me and showed me what I was capable of to get me off to a good start but Im pretty sure Ill be fine on my own now.

Im 6'5 24yo, my goal I guess is to take it slow and not even really care about the weight so much as the BF%. Short term Id like to get to 15% so I can finally be considered average for once in my life. Long term Id like to be 8-10% and look a "healthy" size. Thanks for the encouragements it keeps me going. If it wasn't for EF I would be lost on diet and supplements.

Im still wayyyy too self concious to do that haha, I have some loose skin from when I started at 315lb and some nasty stretch marks :(

I understand. Its hard as fuck for me to post pics of myself. Compared to a lot of guys on this site I am a wet turd Compared to the average Joe I am pretty solid. Just keep it up and maybe set that as a goal for yourself.
