4-5days holiday..what do i do?!

im going away for 4-5 days over x-mas...i will still try to be active..but will my routine/strength suffer if i take that time off gym? i current weight train 4xp/w and cardio 4-5xp/w....im v worried about taking the time off.
if i do...should i change my diet?
 
forget about it !

4-5 days no problem. lower the carb intake and watch the simple carbs (as always) stick to complex.

eat lots of protein and enjoy the time away from the gym !
 
i would also do some pushups, seated tricep raises (using your own bodywieght and pushing up from a chair), pull ups if you can find a bar, abs as tthey can be done anywhere, and other excercises that you can do easily without weights

i find if i take anymore than 2 days off i get out of my trainning rut

i dont think it will suffer. thats such a short time to be off. u might actually come back stronger after the light layoff as the rest days will have allowed your whole body to sufficiently recuperate. take the time off bro. if your really set on working out though you could follow what Benzi wrote. i personally would enjoy the time off and follow what fitnessfrk wrote
 
i agree with tha boyz! especially benzi. if you feel like you still need to get some exercise, take his advice and keep up the cardio! enjoy your holiday! :D
 
Why do you choose to post multiple threads in training and diet? Same people take a look at both.
 
dont worry about it, when i take a week off i usually come back just as strong and much more rested, last time i took a week off all my plateuas i busted right through. also i believe for 4 days u dont need to worry about ur diet, this christmas break at reunions with cousins i am gonna make sure i got all six meals i have on my diet plan, but i am also gonna eat some of the good stuff u know the pumpkin pie, think about what we do 365 days a year we dont drink pop, eat chips while watcihng tv or any of that bad stuff, 4 days isnt gonna matter at all, dont torture yourself have fun
