yesterday was shoulders and bi's. the week before i had a great shoulder workout, military pressed 190 for 6 (2 assisted). So this week i was pumped and decided to try for 205, well i felt great so i skipped it and went for 225. Unracked it with a liftoff from my partner (usually dont use liftoffs but its a really bad angle to try to unrack yourself, lots of stress on shoulders). It felt much lighter than i anticipated, went down, touched chest and right up no prob., went for two and got it with a struggle. whoohoo! military press(yes freeweight 225x2)
tonight was legs and tris. i always open up with closegrip and tonight was no different. warmed up with 135x10, 225x5, felt really good so i decided to try 315, most ive closed gripped is 275 for like 6 or so. ive been attempting 315 for the past 3 weeks with no luck, last week i was so close. I new as soon as it was above me that it was going up this week. unracked, up, down...easy, went for 2 and i got it! fuckin a! im thinking, im on a roll! closegripped 315x2
IM FUCKIN AMPED UP NOW BOYS! Legs are my favorite bp to train and i was ready. warmup with 135x12 135x10 225x8 405x8 good and loose now. i usually go for 495 now and get 3-4, but i was feeling great lately and i couldnt remember the last time i had crashed on the rack. none of this quarter squat shit for me either, all these weights im either parallel or lower. so anyways i was like screw it im going to see how this feels. loaded up four more plates. 585 is pretty intimidating looking lol. i just wanted to see how it felt and if i had any chance. first attempt came to a dead stop at parrellel and the motherfucker wouldnt budge! ggrrrrr, i was sooo close i could taste it. my adrenaline was going now big time. got it back up and got under it again. i went down, stopped right before the spot i got stuck on last attempt and blasted back up, im almost positive i could have gotten another but i didnt want to push it. gym owner was watching close and said i was slightly above parallel. i knew i was pretty damn close to parallel but whatever, one month ill own that shit.
best two days ive had at the gym in a long time!
