hi all, i was just wondering how healthy goat meat is? my girl friend is west african and we eat alot of goat soup, with something called fufu, which i am sure is all carbs. so if anyone could tell me what they think of goat meat that would be great.
thanks

i ate goat meat before at an indian restaurant, it was very tasty, i am not sure its fat content, again that depends on the cut and differs from animal to animal. seemed pretty lean from my inspection of the cut i had. do a search on yahoo or google.mmmmmm.......goat :chomp:

Goat meat seems a lot like deer meat to me. It is very lean. I have found the best way to cook it is to put some onions and peppers on it, with a little seasoning, then wrap it in foil and put it on a pit for a few hours.

when i lived on jamaica they made curry with goat
not the whimpy thai or indian curry with coconut milk or yoghurt
onions peppers carrots jamaican curry powder water touch of vinegar, allspice and salt
i still make it occasionally
but i had a ton of scotch bonnet/habanero peppers and touch of soy

frufru is made for cassava
the glycemic index of cassava is 94
pretty high
