bleeding after deltoid injection

So i did my first deltoid injection and after I pulled the needle out; blood was pouring from the deltoid till i placed a towel with rubbing alcohol on it. Has this happened to anyone else, also do you think I lost any of the test?

Note: I did aspirate before injecting and no blood appeared.

yeah, happens semi regularly. likely a blood vesel or a vein on the way in.

I was injecting test, do you think any of that was lost?

no, chances are you hit a blood vessel on the way in but injected below the sight of trauma if that makes sense?

And losing a drop or two of test doesn't change anything. I bled from a glute this week worst than ever. But no big deal. Move on is all.

You may have nicked a vein. No worries though,,its fine. Next time slow down the time it
takes pulling your needle out and have a cloth or paper towel near just in case.
