WTF is in my protein shakes? *Pics* K for Help.

Ok so I've been ordering this shit for over a year. I look in the trash can today and see that my dried up protein shakes look like plastic. It's from a reputable source online and it happens for casein protein. Why does it do that? I know it's because it dried but it looks like plastic.
