hi jeremys,

In my opinion bulking is about building quality muscle not just size... if you are getting more fat than muscle then something has to be re-evaluated. I would suggest
1) that you try to drop the fat you have by a good diet that helps you keep your muscle... because your aim is to build muscle right? then after you drop a reasonable %... then bulk but with quality food and training so that you can have quality muscle... or
2) review your current diet and make the necessary changes so that you gain muscle not fat.

hope this helps :)

You must gain a little fat to gain a lot of muscle. It is fact as far as I am concerned. If you are using AAS, are a genetic freak, are happy with only gaining a little muscle at a time, etc...you can diet and build at the same time. You can also eat clean and gain weight...if you don't want to get seriously big.

If you want to get big...eat big!!!! If you want to lose a little fat now...sure go for it. Don't do anything drastic or for too long. Remember what your long term goals are and if your short term goals hinder your long term goals...think about why you are doing them.

Words to live by. Remember, training is not a hobby, its a lifestyle. My life revolves around the gym, not the other way around.
