why does muscle milk have such a hype?

What i don't get is how it suggusts for post w/o use. No carbs? I use it as a meal replacement of before bed, but why would one use it post workout?

because the product relies on MCT's and long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, both of which are more likely to be used as energy as opposed to being stored as fat.... personally, I use it an hour before the gym and at bed time.... I still use old-fashioned whey & maltodextrin or dextrose post workout

Something to keep in mind when buying supplements: the more colors on the label, the more expensive it is to print=higher overall cost. Also a 1 page color ad in a muscle magazine costs around 10 grand for 1 month-multiple page ads like Muscletech runs can cost 3-4x that=higher overall cost. This is why I like Beverly International products-very plain 3 color labels and very little advertising pretty much means you're paying lower prices for powder only because their overhead is so low. However the avg consumer will pay extra for pretty packaging and brand recognition through big $$$ advertising campaigns.

I noticed some pretty big gains when I took muscle milk - in my waistline. I guess Im sensitive to all that sugar and fat.

MM is a good product and tastes good..when i have time i go to my local longs and they cary the pre-made ones in a pack of 4 for $5..thats 0.80$ each..cant beat that..

Agreed. I'm the king of clearance rack purchases.

They are losing money because of bad business practices, which include having unsupervised employees.

Doesn't surprise me. I knew a mngr of a GNC and more product "fell off the truck" than was actually sold on any given day. lol I used to get 20 packs of Myoplex from his car trunk for 10 bucks.
