why does muscle milk have such a hype?

taste? thats it?! i bought gnc 100% whey pro, banana creme flavor. taste amazing, much better than muscle milks cookies and cream.

2 cups of milk, one scoop of peanut butter and 2.5 scoops of banana creme flavored protein = heaven.

i was buying muscle milk case i thought it was good for bulking, but apperanlty its only advantage is flavor...

I use 1 scoop along with 20g of a "lean" protein powder like low carb grow by biotest

The advantage is that it tastes good, I use it as my last meal when the temptation to eat junk is at it's highest for me.

hey guys,
stupid question for u guys... i bought a bottle of muscle milk about 2-3 weeks ago and now its gone. so i went to gnc today, where it is $31 for the 2.4 lb. it seems its incredibly expensive, specially since a 6lb 100% whey protein was the same price. when i asked the guy there, what the difference was, he told me the only difference was taste. im sure there is more to it, i think one serving of musle milk is like 640 calories.... but is that it? what makes it so good?
i ended up buying the 6 lb container of whey, but should i have bought the muscle milk? does it matter? kind of a dumb question, but just wanted your opinions. what do u guys think?

A couple of reasons.... the formulation is specifically created to have anabolic effects.... they use high-quality protein (as stated before, similar to human milk)... and they use "healthy fats" (long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids) and most notably MCT's (medium-chain triglycerides)... both of which are utilized by the body readily as an energy source, rather than storing as fat (like carbs)... that is why the actual carb content is lower... it contains glycocamine also, which is believed to promote the body's production of creatine.... as far as calories go, if you mix it in water, it's 350 calories...you mix it in low-fat milk and it's 640 calories.... finally, it tastes pretty good!

You can find it at supplement warehouse online for $16... even with shipping, it's less expensive than most stores you walk into (especially GNC!)
