Why does everyone hate egg yolk?

Ok i have been digging around this forum for like 45 minutes tonight, and i know its on here somewhere, but i cant find it.....I have to know why egg whites? Why does everyone hate on the yolk? I eat like 6 scrambled eggs, everymorning with the rest of my breakfast....am i doing something illegal? Im not fat, and my cholesterol is normal.....Is there something i need to know about, cause i am a newbie to the fullest.....

I also wanted to thank everyone on this site....I have been lifting for 13 weeks straight now.....and 6 weeks ago I started paying attention to what everyone was saying on here, and going through the posts and studying.....And it seems to me that my gains prolly doubled what they were in the first 7 weeks........Now by double i dont mean i got huge, but i can see all the small changes in the mirror, and it feels damn good!!!! Thanks to all the awesome people on here..... Anyways bros, some advice on these "demon" egg yolks would be great, cause im gonna be waking up in the AM and going right for the egg carton.........Later

Most use whites(egg beaters here) because 0 cholesterol and 0 fat + convenience in a carton(no messy shells or spills) + great source of protein. Yolks are high in cholesterol but, 90% of your body's cholesterol is manufactured by your liver, not from the foods you eat, so the amount of fat may be too high for some. I still limit my cholesterol intake.

The servings below are a little bit more than you prob. use in one meal but cholesterol is through the roof in the yolk of an egg, even though it provides more nutrients(vitamins like B1 and B2 and nutrients like lutein) than the whites and is part of testosterone production. I know you said your cholesterol is normal but eating large quantities over time may change that. Overall, the egg is prob. helping your gains, so you might want to just balance it out w/ whites half the time and whole eggs the other.

Regular eggs info:

- Saturated Fat 8g <~~~ (ditto)

Devcom said it all, cholesterol, fat and added calories

If your dieting it's simply a way of lowering your total daily calories and still getting some protein in. The amino acid profile of whole eggs, however, is a lot better than egg whites. Just something to consider if you're bulking.

Roughly I'd say 75% of the people in the Diet forum are cutting calories most of the time... right now espeically because Beach weather is soon to be upon us.

I LOVE eating massive omletes with whole eggs bro... believe me, whole eggs are great and cholestoral stimulates Testosterone production, EAT UP.

Just depends on everyone's goals... don't read a diet and say wow i should do that... depends on his or her goals and stats.

Good job with the great improvment too bro!!

Man this site never fails to impress me with great info.....and yeah that cholesterol is crazy......Im gonna go to the store and get a few cartons of those egg whites. I think im gonna cut down to only 2 whole eggs in the AM and 4 whites, and then maybe snack on some hardboiled eggs throughout the day. Thanks for the great info.....

Because they're full of fat and cholesterol. It's going to take more than 13 wks to build up cholesterol levels, espeically if your young, but your definately setting up the groundwork for it if your eating 5 scrambled eggs a day.

They are a great source of protein though.

I just bought 8 cartons of egg whites.....so if i use half a carton with 2 whole eggs that should last me for 16 meals.......man that stuff goes quick.....Thanks for the great responses bros.

I didn't even know you could buy cartons of egg whites. I'm so excited to go to the grocery store tomorrow.
