am 201 pounds 5 foot 8
and am eating vegetables only for my carbs am using 50/30/20 (p/c/f) ratio
right now my daily calorie intake is 1850 per day since am taking a week off from training
why do I wake up in the middle of the night craving carbohydrates?when I feel full and more satisfied during the day?
I only been sleeping for like 4-5 hours these days due to work (desk job) and during the day I usually eat every 3-4 hours....so it dosent make sense that I wake up craving carbs when during the day I can go through 4 hours between meals my diet is like this

1.tuna in water, avocados, black beans
2.boiled chicken breast, beans or broccoli, coconut oil
3.repeat 1 or 2
4.repeat 1 or 2
5.repeat 1 or 2
6.repeat 1 or 2

some times I eat 2 meals at once when I don't have time

is there something wrong with my diet?
if not than what should I do when this happens again?
will taking a table spoon of coconut oil with a glass of water when I wake up craving carbs be a good Idea?
or is there supplements that prevent this?plz help

Might be thirsty? I wake up at night doing the same and try to drink a glass of water and go back to sleep. I find a spoonful of peanut butter curves my hunger if I need some. Works on the sweet tooth too

None of us do, so I guess you'll have to get used to cravings in the middle of the night. Seriously, dude. Don't you think that's telling you something. It's a wake-up call (literally). You need more variety, When's your last meal? How many cals. do you get? Sounds like you're under stress too. Get some carbs, real carbs. They'll relax you, allowing you to sleep better. Are you a low carber? What are your goals that you're eating like this? Eating every 3-4 hours and you can't understand why this is...Start doing some reading on circadian rhythm, our sleep/wake cycle. Start doing some reading on biological clocks--our organs have inner clocks (they are active and inactive too. Not just when you sleep either). You need to get to know how a metabolism works. Educate yourself a bit and then start adding to your diet. I would think this wake-up call means to add some oats, yams, rice, etc. Good luck.

Why are you eating so few calories and why lack of carbohydrates? 1850 calories is quite few for your weight...like the above stated your body is starving. Why don't you give yourself a day to eat what you want and then go back to whatever you are currently doing...getting ready for a competition or something???
