I am not a prolific poster, even though I enjoy reading some of the useful information on this website posted by so many different people. However, I decided to intervene in this thread with some constructive criticism.

There has been quite a lot of scientific studies published in notorious medical journals in Europe and in the United States which assserted that there is an intrinsically unconscious(or not necessarily) correlation between extreme homophobic behaviour and self hatred or denial of presumable homosexuality.

There was a recent presentation of American PhD psychologist/ researcher Dr. Lester W. Wright from Michigan University of his clinical study (October, 2007) "Sexual Arousal Patterns in Homophobic and Non-Homophobic Men" which did demonstrate overwhelmingly scientific evidences about that. Thusly, those who are outraged by homosexuality, which are according to them a so-called 'sexual deviation', are highly likely to be fighting something within themselves --- a quite significant proportion of these individuals.

I personally believe that someone who is really confident about his/her own sexuality would highly unlikely to feel threatened by anyone else whose sexual orientation may differ from his/hers. Why would it eventually be so disturbing?

No matter how you decide to raise your kids. Hopefully the next generations in America which is still a Western country will not cope with any form of inequality whatsoever. At least, not a majority of them.
