What's the funniest thing you saw in the gym????

Funniest moment I've witnessed, was probably when some guy got stuck with two loose clips on the bench, and mid-rep had one side start to slip. He tipped the bar to try and correct the sliding, managed to send the clip and weights on the opposite side of the bar flying off towards the floor, and wiped out. Making an unholy racket while doing so.

Oh wait.. that was me. :lmao:

haha i did the exact same thing doing squats one day. Just picked up the bar a little off center and started tiping, so naturally I try tipping the other way.... well that just made shit worse. So basically 200lbs or whatever I had on there came crashing to the ground. I'm just thankful no one's feet were around

A LAPTOP IN THE GYM????

I had a guy and his wife com ein the other day and I couldn't believe what they were using to keep a record of their lifts. A fucking laptop! Are you kidding me? Nothing against laptops or anyone one who works on one, but come on, and it wouldn't have been quite so bad if they had maybe just entered their sets after the moved on to a new lift, but they were typing away after each and every set. This took them forever and they tied up one of the benches for about a half hour fucking around like that:mad:. For christ sake, invest in a 10 cent pen and a 50 cent notebook. I would have even settled for a palm pilot even. Just my experience with a wannabe, lifter with too much money. They must have had a program that calculates how many calories you are burning and whatever, but can't that be done at home. If you come to lift then lift, but if you can't lift with the big dawgs then stay on the porch!!!

The funniest thing I seen ,was when this fat dude was on a treadmill, tripped over his own feet ,fell straight down onto his hands and had to "run" with his hands to avoid getting his face sanded off buy the treadmill belt.

Hey, I think the Laptop is a great idea. I know someone on this board mentioned doing the same thing. However, they trained at home. But it shouldn't be a problem in the gym, as long as you are quick. I normaly rest 1-3 minutes, which should be more then enough time to enter all the data between sets. As long as the spread sheet is ready beforehand.

But I guess it would look funny.

Haz,

I would love to be able to use a computer to keep track of sets and workouts because then you could graph gains and maybe help create an "ultimate" cycle for yourself. This guys was just taking a forever between sets and he was one of those types of guys that is trying to impress everyone else in the gym while they are working out. Look guys, look at me, I have a laptop. WHoo Hooo buddy! Most guys I know that keep their stuff on a computer just write it down at the gym and then enter on their PC at home. Seems a lot easier that way... Oh well to each his own.....Happy Lifting!!!:D

Heres one...

i was benching one day without clips, had 225 on the bar, went to rack it and apparently the bar wasnt set on one of the hinges...

well, the weight dumped to the floor and i had a 1 gallon waterbottle on the floor. 2 45 pounds plates smashed the water jug and it looked like Old Faithfull. Water shot 10 feet into the air. weee....It was funny!!!

peace

Thats a real exercise dude.

I track my progress on a laptop........

This dude trying to do shrugs with 585lbs. His form was pathetic and I was sure he was on his way to injury. He was violently throwing his whole body into the motion. The funning thing is when he got to seated dumbbell presses. . . he was working with 50lb dumbbells:).
