What's the best thing to eat right before bed to promote fat burning all night long?

take glutamine , your body will start to produce GH

GHB is far better than glutamine at promoting
GH release.

Furthermore, MOST glutamine is destroyed in the stomach.

You'd have to take 15-20g.

The studies you're probably thinking off involved
2g Glutamine through AN IV drip. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Godspeed

The point of a no carb meal before bed is so you are glycogen depleted in the morning, for your morning cardio - and can thus burn fat as fuel - instead of carbs.

Edgecrusher,

I'm just curious as to why u wouldn't consume 1-2 hours before u go to sleep? If u are sleeping for 8 hours, whats the difference if u eat 3 hours or 1 hour before u go to bed?

My first problem is I only sleep about 4 hours a night. Secondly, When you go to sleep right after eating, that food you take in may not really get metabolised. Also if you eat prior to bed, chances are insulin levels will be high, thus blunting gh release.

One other point I should have mentioned. If you have an inherently fast metabolism, you can probably get away w/ eating directly before bed. This may even cause you to spare some muscle. (AN example of this is Boyer Coe, who for his last olympia, ate a carrot cake every night before bed.) Myself however, I have a rather slow metabolism, so I do not want to take the chance on consuming food and not having the opportunity to really burn it off.

In addition to a protein shake, I'm liking the effects that the new ZMASS sublingual is giving me. I'm deffinately recovering much better after workouts...more so than when I use only glutamine
