What you think about my theory?

I've been dieting for almost 2 months and I can honestly say that it's working greatly! I can see my abs for the first time in my life.

Although, it's the end of the summer, I very tempted to go on my bulking cycle and really start carbing up.

However I have this hypothesis that if I get down to about 6-8% bodyfat (which will happen maybe in another 1 month and half of hardcore dieting) my body will eliminate that really stubborn fat around the love handles and when I start my bulking up phase there won't be so much fat deposited it there because I really depeleted it well.

Think of the professional bodybuilders who bulf but kinda stay lean throughout the year, you can always see their abs. Or, when a person does lypo-suction around their stomach, the last place fat will accumulate on the body is that section.

Well thats my theory! Who knows....I'm gonna diet anyways and see if it works.

What do you guys think ??

When you lose fat, you lose it from everywhere, not just one place. For men, the main place fat is stored is in the midsection. For women, there are a lot more sites (arms, hips, ass, etc) I think that the reason that you can see a bodybuilders abs even when they are not in great condition is that their abs are big and very developed. For the record, I saw King Kamali two weeks ago, and his abs did not make the trip with him. What's the reason to go on a bulking cycle? Are you trying to gain muscle? If so, I get the impression that your body fat is high enough to do that now. I'm not sure that I would recommend "carbing up" per se. I would focus on getting enough protein in conjunction with carbs and fats to facilitate hypertrophy. A lot of people say 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fats. Everyone is different, you may need to experiment, but that is a good guideline to use. I don't think that a bulking up phase has to be synonymous with a getting fat phase. There's a guy on the board called bodybyfinnaplex who seems to have a pretty good handle on getting alot of calories without really getting fat. Perhaps he has some observations.

You didn't remove those cells as liposuction does. Also, most pro's get very fat in the offseason. However, being as lean a possible going into a bulking phase is your best option. WHen insulin levels are elevted, it tends to distribute energy (ei glucose) fairly evenly into muscle, fat and liver cells. The higher your ratio of fat to muscle, the less fat you will gain as a result of this. So if you are 15% bf, vs 7% you will gain more fat from over eating during each meal that produces a signifigant insulin response due to the fact that a higher percentage of the total insulin receptors in your body are in adipose tissue than they would be if you were leaner.
