What to eat when travelling...??

I thought I posted this before, but I don't know what happenned to it...

I do a lot of travelling for business and I wanted advice as to what I should be eating when I am on the road. I am seldomly in the same place for more than a night or two, so I can't prepare too much myself.
What are the best places to have lunch? Subway? Schlotzkey's Deli? Boston Market?
What about dinner? Do any chain restaurants have better stuff than others? What should I order for dinner?

Lastly, what about snacks? I spend one hell of a lot of time in the car and on planes (in the car especially...driving to Texas tomorrow, for example). What can I eat that I can bring on a plane or in a car that won't go bad?

I should also mention that I am currently cutting, but I would like to be bulking within the next month.

Thanks to all with ideas.

Paul

I would say Subway and Boston Markets are two of the best, except for the high sodium if you worry about that. You can go to both of their websites and get nutritional info for all of their food.

When I travel I live off of Subway's Chicken Teriyaki subs, and some all natural peanut butter I pack.

Subway toasts their breads now......I gotta get there!!! 6inch??? Puhleeeexzzzzee.....that's the appetizer

Subway is probably your best bet, and try packing some MRP bars with you. For dinner, I'm not sure there are any chain restaurants that are known for healthy menu choices, what you might be able to do is order a dish, but request that any unhealthy contents or ingredients be excluded (ie. Sauces).

I'll second the ANPB - I travel a lot too and sometimes those long legs on planes and at airports without healthy (inexpensive) food around are just too much, so I'll eat a scoop or two. It doesn't need refrigeration, doesn't go bad, has protein and healthy fat...overall a great choice. As for what else - everywhere serves salads these days.

Good advice. You can also bring those tuna in the pouches they have out now and a loaf of whiole-grain bread. You can always purchase fruits and veggies fairly easily on the road. Just give it a little thought and be smart. but always plan ahead if you're not sure what options you will have.

I used to eat those all the time but I switched to the roast chicken subs for the lower sodium. 1200mg's of sodium in the Chick Terriaki compared with 800 in the roast chick. Still high, but drinking plenty of water should make all the supurfluous sodium irrelevent.

I drove for 13 hours yesterday and 8 today. I had with me lots of raw veggies, raw almonds, two shakes (for yesterday) and a jar of ANPB. I think people driving by me were looking at me funny spooning peanut butter into my mouth while driving. lol

Thanks guys for all the advice.
