What to Do When Your Sick?

I came down with something in the last two days and it's pretty bad. It's mostly in my chest. So on top of preping for my show in April (training and on cutting diet) which makes me tired as it is, now I'm sick on top of it. Should I keep up the training, keep it on the lighter side, or take the next few days off to get better. I'm 8 weeks out and don't want to jeopardize my comp in any way...thoughts?...Sick MILFY!!!!! :worried:

Listen to your body ..... what do YOU think is best for you right now?

In my opinion, taking 2-3 days off to totally recover is better than tryignt o stick it out and doing half-assed workouts - and extending your sickness out for 2 more weeks. i would prefer to take a couple days off to recover.

Also, you could take the time off in the gym to do a mild yoga or something like that .... still a workout, but not as intense. Or take a few moderate/easy walks. You are still being active, but not pushing it.

What are your symptoms??

If you're hacking, coughing, phlegmy, sneezy - stay home.... Plus as DG said - might do you some good to get some rest in....

Also - try using Emer-Gen'C - has sodium in it - but it really helped me feel better when I got sick close to a show....

My chest feels heavy, heavy cough with lots of shit coming up, nose is running, and extremely fatigued. Loss of appetite on top of it...sour stomach probably because of drainage. This really makes me angry!!!

If you can, try to keep close to your diet schedule - if you can't get teh food down at least try to eat on the same schedule. Ginger root can help settle a stomach as well. Lots of water of course, and maybe just start w/ a day off and let it run itself.

Definitely stay home then!!

Definitely -- there is a point where its not healthy for the OTHER PEOPLE at the gym to be around you.

Take the time off, girl! Not only will you prolong the illness, you could also be contageous. ICK! (sorry-lol)

Get your R&R, pamper yourself for a couple of days and see how you're feeling.

Get better soon! :)
