What should you do when resting between sets?

geez...am I the only one that checks on myself in the mirror...LOL!

ok-- I will also check out the hot guys doing bent-over rows, but really if your taking more than 20 secs bet sets-- your like on vacation.

I'm superstitious when I bench. I have to do the same pointless routine everytime before I do a set. When I lift 5x5 on bench it's the hardest thing for me physically and mentally and I'm always worried that some little distraction or little difference will cause me to fail. I have to get a quick sip of water and walk back over to the bench where I approach from the right side. I make sure that the bar is perfectly centered on the rack and that the weights are tight and not jiggling. I sit down and center myself before taking the bar in my hands and whoopin' some ass.

Is there anything that would be helpful to do? Massage the muscle, stretch it around, flex it's opposite? Or does it not matter that I get a sip from the waterfountain and stare idly at the seconds hand on the clock?

If you are lucid enough to stare idly at the clock you aren't training hard enough. It usually takes me 30 seconds before i can see straight.
