What pre work out / protein should I take

Casual

New member
Alright lads, I'm going to start training seriously in the next week or 2. I'm quite skinny and might be just over the normal weight for my hight and age but I'm a bit self conscious of my weight.

im thinking of taking optimum nutrition serious mass based of the calorie intake of it but should I buy any pre work out and some normal protein that's not over 1000 calories per shake.

any advice is good advice so fire away

cheers

You have to be careful with mass gainer proteins. A lot is filler just for the calories and not good calories at that. You can try it though.
Pre workouts comes to personal preference. I've tried dozens and dozens. Really just pick one from the shelf. Except I will say anything C4 sucks ass and skip NO explode as well. Lol besides that, any will work. I have noticed some of the smaller no name companies have better pre's than the big name companies.
My favorite protein is Intek Evolution. Check it out. Been using it for years now and I don't think I'll ever leave it out of my list.

Save your money on a pre-workout drink. Pre workout drinks are really nothing more then a flavoured caffeine drink with maybe some creatine added. Just drink a cup of black coffee before your workouts if you need a boost.

Your best option is to make your own high calorie shake. It'll be much cheaper, and provide much more nutrients then any
mass gainer type of shake.

Buy a high quality blender and blend together the following:
2 scoops of a high quality protein powder such as wheytobuildmuscle from n2bm.com
http://needtobuildmuscle.com/store/P...scle-p290.html
oatmeal
natural almond butter or peanut butter
frozen fruit
banana
ice
chia/flax seeds
spinach/kale

You can easily make the shake 800 calories and drink it for breakfast.

I take CATALYST by momentum nutrition. It's the only pwo that I really enjoy and see results from. My focus goes to tunnel vision and it's not loaded on stims. I'm not a guy that does well with stims.
