Weighted dips w/o belt & chain

I just started the 12 week Max-OT program from AST. They have weighted dips finishing up the chest workout with 2 sets doing only 4-6 reps.

The problem is, I don't have a way to add weight to the dips. I don't have access to the weight belt with the chain on it that people normally use.

Is there another method of adding weight to dips other than using the belt and chain?
 
You can try to hold a dumbell with your feet... seen people do it before.. never tried it myself tho
 
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Not sure how well that would work though. I think I'm just going to find another exercise to replace dips with.

when i do dips with a DB i have my feet crissed and i get someone to place it between my calves so the weight is resting on the back of my lower leg .

hard to explain i guess
 
What my buddy does it crosses his legs and places a 50lb dumbell on the inside, right before the knees. Doesn't seem to bother him at all.

get some rope like said above... maybe those rock climbing caribeaner things... those clamp things... coudnt cost you much at all... or just use rope period. this is an easy solution.
 
Do you have any sort of weight belt? If so, just look a chain or rope around the ront and through the weight. If you dont have a belt, I dont see why you couldnt just do it with rope.
