Water . . . What kind do you drink and why??

I saw a thread on the Diet forum about Distilled water vs. Spring/Bottled water and thought I would ask the same thing here. I know many of you ladies diet for shows and add Distilled into the plan towards the end. Do you drink it on a regular basis? If so why?

I drink both. I find the Distilled has helped alot with my water & sodium retention issues. I feel really "flushed" from it (does that make any sense?). From what I understand Distilled does wash away some minerals, so I have upped my intake of supps. to help conquer this (Am I wastig my time? I don't know).

Any opinions? Any thoughts? Does it really matter?

LOL Perpetual discussion as far as competition prep. I've done both, can't say I noticed a diff one way or the other. I use filtered / bottled water myself.

Good question.

This site has some very interesting info for those interested *ahemTreil* :D
http://www.livingnutrition.com/water.html

I always have a bottle of water with me that is usually either "Natural Spring" (Evian) or Artesian (Fiji).

I had to buy a Brita for the new place until I get my Reverse Osmosis put in.

Honestly NYC, I have never bought labeled 'Distilled' but it has always been something I've thought about, esp. after reading your findings from it, as well as additional research on water.

I will only drink Tap water if it's a emergency. Funny how people say "it tastes like water" or "water tastes like nothing" but Tap water, some even has the putrid smell of rotten eggs, makes me sick. Macro had a good post a while back I was recently reading about Tap water and the contaminants. Where my brother lives, they have to list all the toxic things in the water on his bill (by law).

Mr. B has a PH tester (or something like that) for his water (don't ask), and we compared his Tap, to the R.O., Ice Mountain, Aquafina (all I remember) and I wish I kept his "notsoscientific" findings, but I'm guessing that is the reason I usually drink the two brands I listed above.

It's good to read actual feedback on the benefits of distilled. Thanks for posting NYC :)

Tap water through a Brita Filter pitcher - the water is free and the filters are cheaper comparitively speaking to bottled water and I love the taste.

I've done distilled - never noticed any benefit.

My parent have a country house near a real live natural spring - now THAT is sweetest water you'll ever taste.

Same w/ the water up at our cabin - well-water on a lake in Northern Minnesota. The stuff straight out of the tap tastes better than any bottled water you'd ever find. Makes your hair softer, skin softer, the sun comes out more often, little blue birds flit around & chirp, angels sing and rainbows pass overhead and settle at the far end of the lake :)

Ditto

I can tell the difference between bottled water too. Evian is my favorite, Aquafina is dreadful, it sometimes smells funny.
