Vermont: concealed weapon and hunting

I wanna know people. Can I go hunting in the US with my Canadian hunting license ? Also, any good places to hunt in Vermont ?

And guys/girls that carry conealed weapon, strapped on your chest or on your belt ? Thanks.

Usually a CCW(FLA) lic allows you to carry it anywhere you want "Except" displayed such as on your belt.
It must be concealed for the most part such as under a jacket or pocket or in the small of your back in a holster or in your vehicle.

There are various Public places where you are not allowed to carry. Different from state to state.

As for hunting in vermont.. The Woods would probably be a good place..

What does one hunt with a handgun might I ask? Unless we are talking scope-mounted .44 Caliber Colt "Anaconda" for hunting Deer? Then again, that would be kinda hard to conceal unles you stand about 7 feet tall.

If you have ever been chased up a tree by a 150lb Feral Wild Hog
and had to ditch your rifle, you would want a sidearm strapped on when hunting.

if you are carrying for personal safety, have the gun where you can safely and quickly remove it and get it into the ready position.

for most people, this is the waist.

you cannot hunt in VT without a VT hunting license. you do not need to be a resident to get one.

Yes it was 2 separate questions. The handgun is for personal safety and as Y_Lifter said, just in case I need it while hunting.

Oh last question: is there any rule concerning the lenght of my barrel (handguns), cause here in Canada it must be 4" and over ? So I could bring my little S&W 9mm with its 3.5" barrel.

Feeling dumb right now... Those Colt Anacondas with the 9" barrels all scoped-out, are a nice little piece for hunting Deer though. I'm personally not about killing animals, but my Dad is, and he used to take that with him on days where his back was hurting him badly, and he didn't feel like hauling his 30.06 all over Hells creation.
