So you're basing your assumptions about me, a person you've never met, on the thoughts/behaviors of a friend. Do you actually know what I believe? For that matter, do you really know what your friend believes? Perhaps more importantly, do you even care? Is it simply important that you have decided you are intellectually and morally superior to him/me because you have arbitrarily decided our morals, ethics and philosophy are different from yours, which makes whom sillier?

The main reason Java says that is because he is selfish. If both people are unselfish in a relationship, it will work. That is such a loaded question ... The "problem" with Wicca is it isn't dogmatic, which means there isn't ONE single set of Rules, Doctrines, Beliefs.

Let's try this, I believe there is a singular force that generated the creation of the universe. Out of that singularity, I believe came many things, including (among other things) gods, fairies, angels, dragons, planets, turnips and humans and blah fucking blah fucking blah ...

I believe in the human spirit, I don't believe in heaven and hell. I do believe in reincarnation, but not the way Hindus do (a human will always be human). I don't believe most animals reincarnate, they have what is best termed a "collective soul."

I believe in gods, I've met gods, I respect them and screwing around with them can fuck with your life (I've just lived through that). But they don't "make" miracles. They can, however, influence the energies of your life, leave it there.

I believe community is actually about shared heart and spiritual practices, and those practices need to include the land we walk upon, and the other entities that share this world that we live on.

I believe in treading softly upon the land, conserving natural resources, and causing the least impact, not just spiritually, but literally, because when our spirits depart this place, our children and grandchildren will still be here. It's rude to leave them with a disgusting mess. We have a responsibility to our kids to leave them a decent home. We don't own this place, we're only renting it. The reality is, any given generation is only renting this planet from the generations yet to come.

I want you to think, long and hard, about the fact the commandment is "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Think about it. Let me share something from real life. I pushed for the divorce from my ex because there was somebody out there better for her based on the desires she expressed to me. That being said, she described me as the kindest person she's ever known and on the way to our final court appearance for the dissolution she admitted that she didn't realize what she had.... I get that a lot from my ex's....Good luck finding an ex that has a bad word to say about me as a person or how I treated them.

Somebody used to be Hitler, but I doubt it was you. According to my personal beliefs (which aren't strictly Wiccan on the matters of reincarnation) Hitler shot back here the minute he bit the black capsule. He didn't get to assess his life, evaluate, and decide how to best balance the scales.
