Saying your religion is the only true way is not comparable to saying in math 2+2 is always 4. First of all math is logical. Second it does not insult your intelligence. 3rd it does not ask you to take anything strictly on faith. Granted, some of the more radical scientific ideas are pretty far out there, but at least they are founded off of scientific principles.

If you believe your religion is the only way you might as well believe you are a supreme, all knowing super being because you and nobody that believes in your belief system can prove it is the only valid, logical, rational form or religious belief on this planet. Unfortunately for you you cannot prove this. Every one just needs to take it on "faith".

Also there really is no saying you don't believe others are condemned to hell if they don't believe religion or your religion specifically. By committing to that religion you acknowledge it's belief system. If you pick and choose what you believe out of that system then in fact you do not really believe in that religion, but instead have formed your viewpoint as convoluted as it may be and should probably take a closer look at what you think you really believe.

Go watch Religulous sometime. It can be thought provoking.

It's typically not that hard to get "hotties". All it takes is the willingness to give up some of your independence and pride in order to keep them happy. Those situations rarely end up positive for both parties, but sometimes it works. I have a good friend who is a physical disaster but his wife is about an 8.5. It's pretty easy to see what's up - she can easily dominate him and the relationship, she makes the decisions and he's forever in the position of "I got lucky and grabbed a girl out of my league so I'm going to do whatever I need to do to keep it going".

It ain't healthy, but it's pretty common.

The built-in urge for (1) is our old brain, which means it's terrible unsophisticated. It can be tricked with the smallest changes (i.e. different outfits, different venues, different positions, roleplay, etc. etc.). So guess what that does? It "turns old pussy into new pussy."

And the smartest of the smartest women understand one other concept. In evolutionarily terms, women are the gatekeepers for sex. So when a highly interested female comes along, it can completely wipe-out an unsuspecting male. I've seen truckloads of corporate guys over the years who married fairly poorly, climbed the corporate ladder, yet kept the same, mundane sex life at home. Then some woman comes along who acts highly interested in them, and it blows them completely up. I used to ride the bus in sixth grade with a kid who's father managed one of our plants. His mother was pretty and seemed nice enough. But a sewer in one of our plants chased this guy (fairly hard) and within weeks he was leaving his wife and two kids to shack-up with her. We had to fire him, which made riding the bus to school an awkward event every day.

So what's the secret?

1) Be sweet

2) Give it up a lot (enthusiastically) and mix things up from time-to-time.

Any strategy that is more complex is really giving us (men) more credit than we deserve. Even the ponytail/starbucks/turtleneck sweater guys realize they aren't much more than bears with furniture -- they're just faking it.

Actually, I'm studying shamanism, too, have been for over a year now. Can't get into it the way I'd like to because the more I experience the more I learn there's simply some things you can't read about, you have to be mentored. You need to be able to come back from a journey and say "Hey, found this ____ on/around/next to the patient, it doesn't belong there but no matter what I did I can't shift it, NOW WHAT?!"

Oh, and by the way, whoopeee you read a couple of books when you were a rebellious teenager. Good for you! I've probably forgotten more than you've ever even heard of, and you sure as hell don't know what it really means to live and practice as a Wiccan. There's a lot more information out there than there used to be, a lot more intensive information has been released in recent decades as certain individuals have moved on, and in the end, nobody who really knows anything is willing to claim to be an absolute expert in this lifestyle, not even the best of our elders, and honestly, I know some of the best ones out there.

Only the people whom you love more then anything can seer into your heart and get to you in that way. I can let anything go, any offense any words any wrong doing. Other then the hurt that I have felt that has come from my wife. When she has hurt me that has been real hurt, when she has done me wrong that is real pain. I have hated her at times and loved her at all times. If you love some one you dont give a fuck about the views of others and what they have to say about it. When you find the one your views change.

Some people feel love is a choice. Or at least they would like to think they have a choice and control over it. It may start out as a choice however sooner or later there you are standing with your free will stripped from you. If you ever never been there then you could never fathom what its truly like. I have been with my wife since we were just kids. Call it what ever you want but I feel less of a person without her and I truly beleive I will be by her side when she passes from this life ( or vice verse ) and when that day comes I will not regret a single moment of it.

I read more than a couple books..I read the religious based texts as well as historical texts by academics. You know how that ended? When I was fifteen my mother took me to a psychiatrist because I had become distant as a teenager and after searching my room found I read heretical texts.... I was given the standard battery of tests by a psychiatrist and his conclusion....."You have a well balanced personality." However, it took six months of therapy to convince my mother I wasn't crazy....True story...
