Time of day to measure test?

The lab tells me it doesn`t matter when the blood is taken and if you have eaten before hand.

Is this true?

All the ones I've done require to fast for 8 to 12 hours , optimum time to check test levels is between 6 and 8 a.m

I have also head that T peaks when you wake so the best time is early morning. I don't know if fasting matters

Fasting doesn't matter just tell your doctor to take a non fasted blood test.... But personally I prefer to take it fasted I think it's more accurate but I could be wrong

fasting only matters obviously if you are interested in seeing your glucose results. so what if its included I would go into it with a normal breakfast and plenty of water like usual. just ignore your glucose results

you want to get it done before 8am..

Thanks for the answers guys,I`ll probably go measure it in the morning, but I don`t care about the little daily oscillations, just want to see if my test is horribly low to begin with.
