The difference of 15 years and 25 pounds of muscle!

i dont mean to be an asshole, but it took you 15 years to build 25 lbs of muscle? actually, if you bf % are correct, you are 35 lbs of muscle heavier in the other photo.

were you taking enough protein/using advanced workout routines/working out hard enough?

Dude, it took me four months to put the weight on and not fat. I went from 165 to 197 in 4 months natural. I was not considering competing at that time, I just wanted my size for football.

My point is that I did what I did,and yes it takes years to develop the muscle properly. Rome was not built in a day. Yes, I had protein, and the works. When I started, I had no one to help, I learned as I went.

When someone says before and after pic's I always see this is me starting my cycle, this is me 3 months later I have to laugh. Most of the time there is not much difference. I want to see what the difference is 10-20 years later. That will prove whether or not you have what it takes to be a body builder. I want to see this is me at 18, this is me 15 years later all natural and still looking as young, and better than when they started. I want to see every 36 year old on this board post their current pic and a pic from when they were 18 and when they considered themselves in their prime.

I am not out for a math contest.

And well, yes you came across as an ass.

Chesty, you ever thought of joining a gym and working out.

Hee Hee Hee

Seriously, you look great man. What are you entering next?

thats good. i know i sound like an asshole when im not trying to, i've been told that before.

its just the idea of "if you work out reallllll hard, eat right, etc. you can gain 1 1/2 lbs of muscle a year just like me". i couldn't help but comment on that. im sowwy. seeing as how you gained most of it in the first few months my comment is mute.

nothing like a little age....lookin killer dude....i'm the same way i was about 135 in my 20's now i'm 41 165 and about 12%bf. could definetly kick my youner ass...lol... keep up the great work!!

i guess i have a little subliminal animosity towards chesty for his treatment of strongchick.

but, aside from that, as i said, i sound like an asshole when im not trying to. i've been told that before

ahh i see. Try not to hold a gruge with strongchick if she is a chick you know she could have PMS for whaterver she did, which that I do not know of.

actually, my grudge was against people who attacked her. i believe in free speech, and the right to have highly controversial opinions in stressful times. as long as the opinions don't violate the 'clear & present danger' clause.

but this is a private board. so i guess that doesn't apply. shrug.

You look good ol' man.

Keep it up.

When you're 40, you'll look 27ish.

When you're 50, you'll look 35ish.

When you're 60, you'll look 44ish.

When you're 70, you'll look 57ish.

When you're 80, you'll look 63ish.

When you're 90, you'll look 71ish.

Peace.

Amen to that. I think the old myth of 1.5lbs of muscle a year came from the old days, when bb's would add 70 pounds in a short period of time, then lose all of it but 1 or 2 pounds for their contests. Hence their weight would only go up by 1 or 2 pounds a year.

It was the old bulk and cut thing of the past. I will say though that once you gain a certain amount, it becomes harder and harder to add quality weight without gettng fat. I have spent a good portion of my life maturing what nature gave me. Right now with my forearm out of commission I have really lost some mass. am still at 215lbs and I have been dieting, but not a real good pump in the chest and arms. After surgery though I will be back at it harder than ever.

We all have our points of view and what we feel strongly about. For now we have called a truce. We shall see where we go from there.

Chesty and Strongchick exchanging civil words? Even respect? Well what the hell do you know about that. There's hope for us all. :)
