Sweet Potatoes VS. Russett Potatoes

Which one do you guys prefer and why? When I read most threads in here, it seems that sweet potatoes are the popular choice. I grew up in Texas eating baked russett potatoes. What is going on with the sweet potato?

sweet potatoes have more vitamin a, c and calcium.. but otherwise their nutrient profiles are similar.

sweet potatoes are also lower on the glycemic index.

I baked one the other night and sugar started oooozing out. I couldn't make myself eat it even though I believe everyone that they are good for you. I just don't like sweets. I have one more in the pantry. I may give it one more shot.

try them mashed.. :D makes a good side. Just do em up like regular mashed taters. :D A lil skim milk or hemp milk to lighten them up and yummy.

slice up the sweet potatoes, sprinkle some cinnamon on it and some olive oil and bake them, mmm!

sweet potatoes/ yams are lower on the glycemic index. It would be a little cleaner to eat the sweet potatoes, but I would rather have a russet with garlic, herbs and butter!! lol.. yes I am hungry

I'm eating a sweet potato as I type this.

I used sweet potatos as my main carb source when I was cutting and it seemed to work great. I happened to love the taste of a freshly baked one.

Mashed sweet potato is great too for those who aren't crazy about them.

Sweed, thanks for the roasted sweet potato advice. Gotta try that.

sweat taters are better for you. i think the best carb there is. i just wash and knawl lol.
