curious what people know about this. would taking stimulants earlier in the day make you more tired and able to fall asleep at night as opposed to not taking stimulants? just wondering because i was figuring that since sleep aids depress the nervous system and leave you with "rebound insomnia" wouldnt stimulants and energy drinks in turn, after spiking your nervous system, leave it to be more depressed after it all goes away after the "coming down" effect? the one guys post on coffee made me think of this so instead of highjacking his post i thought id start this one. i just remember that back when i was taking xenadrine a few years ago i remember i was sleeping better than ever. anyone?

I take a tea (3 tea bags left to brew for 20 mins) in the morning, and that really gets me kicked off. I've taken allot of stimulants and, I'd definitely advise caution with what your thinking. The come down effect may not actually leave you feeling tired, but actually depressed! (Especially true when using ephedrine).

The best thing you can try is Modafinil (Provigil) which keeps you awake 12-15 hours... and for me has no side effects. That way, you could actually have a sleep aid as well, which the Modafinil would reverse in the morning!
