squats and recovery

sup bros,

i turely believe squats(especially 20 rep squats) to be the most anabolic excercise ever! however, it takes me about a good five or six days to recover from that. not on any gear. is that the norm?
 
I have found that with squats, more than any other lift, I need the most recovery time. If my diet and rest are not spot on, sometimes even 7 days is not enough for me!
It's actually a blessing in disguise, because it forces me to stay very strict with my meals and sleep habits.
