yeah yea, u know your dying to be KILLING that SHIT!

lol

time away from the gym is a great thing once in a while. Really lets you heal and makes sure overtraining is not a factor.....

the gym will always be there! obviously you know cuz u look great and have been there ALL the time!
Actually it would have gotten rid of some of my frustration, but at the same time I LOVED having nothing to do too... well except for cook and read anyways which both helped also :)
ANd will be right back to "killing that shit" as you would say next week

Thanks for the reminder that the gym will always be there :lmao:

I'm HERE!

All caught up, chicky! :D

I can't believe your lifts -- just CANNOT believe them! I turned to Ulter and said, "Ok -- she puts 55# over her head in ONE HAND?! Is that RIGHT?!"

I'm amazed. Pre-surgery I used 30# dbs for inclined bench presses and I'm hella proud of that... so now I just feel so sheepish! :qt: Ulter said "By this time next year, you'll have 55s over your head too."

I laughed out loud -- really hard. :lmao: We'll see, but I'm chompin' at the bit now! You have me COMPLETELY inspired! :chomp::elephant:

Also -- wanted to tell you I  your calves. I genetically have big calves and now that I see you and some of the other ladies on here workin' them so hard to get and KEEP them lookin' great... I now want to work my own and be proud of them. I just need to be careful I don't overtrain lower body -- need to give my upper body time to catch up!

Thanks for getting me in here. Now I have one more thing to read! :D

55 lb DB's??? You must have been reading in my old log huh??? Yeah you can bet Ulter is right though... because before moving I set my PR at 40's on incline chest press and T told me "it won't be long and we'll be putting 50's up there", and I just laughed, actually it was the same laugh I did at the gym when she had the 50's in front of me... but needless to say my new PR with all that is 65's :D SO I believe you can get up to those 50's no problemo!!!

Glad I could add some inspiration to the mix for there hun  :rose:

:lmao: Yes but the face again was priceless... The look of total denial that we would ever do that was definite across your face. I hope that is a miniscule grain in your head that when next year you start getting doubts of your abilities you'll remember that moment you pressed those up not once, not twice, but 5 or 6 times! So if that's the case with doubting everything on what you are capable of, then remember your abilities are 5-6 times fold greater then what you think they are..... :rose:
Don't be scared by outter appearances, because your strength within can overcome whatever you are faced with. Remember that when you are up on stage!

Funny how muscle appearance and distribution can change. :) No resaon to hate numbers Sarge, just not let them define your progress & find other means to track it :)

Yeah yeah yeah... its kinda nice to be logging workouts again too (well except for this week of course because its my week OFF) but I noticed it makes me push myself a little more at the gym too when I wanna give up a couple reps short :)

No kidding about eating clean! You are an inspiration, duckie! Your motivation and willpower is astounding....by the way, did your family comment about your new bod? I sent my brother the pic of me in my new avi and he told me that I am starting to look too "manly". Whatevah! It did hurt my feelings a little because as you all know I'm the girliest girl ever for the most part.

Enjoy your family's Xmas dinner today! Let me know how that apple pie is if you decide to try it.

And in case you're wondering why I'm up, it's because I woke up hungry at 5:45am. Just had my oatmeal and am a happy woman again...forget about doing HIIT unfueled when I can barely get out of bed and make it to the kitchen unfueled these days :lmao:

Have a great Saturday!

Well I LOVE turkey, and acorn squash (that is if my mom makes the latter for me :p ) sooooooo its easy to fill up on the good stuff and not worry bout eating all the trash LOL... but I will keep you updated, or maybe  I'll have a bite just for you :rose:

THey sure did comment on me, so far from my dad and step mom I got told how great I look and how I added a ton of muscle, then I had to explain the whole "figure competition" to them and let them know I wouldn't stay like this, my brother and soon to be sister in law showed up with my dress for their wedding in February and told me to try it on... well the bottoms fit a ok, but the top wouldn't even zip half up so that will be altered for sure :) I saw a friend I used to workout with a lot (she does lw BB) and she said "Holy shit, I think you have doubled in size" and that I'll look great when I go to cut in her opinion, and heading to moms today with the rest of the family so we'll see what they have to say

I hear ya on the being hungry first thing, I was runnin to the kitchen myself at 7 a.m. :chomp: for some oatmeal and egg whites while the rest of my family ate cinnamon rolls and danishes :verygood:

I never do really get cravings though, and if I do then I make some healthy variation or concoction to get rid of it :p

Mood: Again woke up blah, seems to be the routine here lately... Guess I need to get all the junk going on in my head figured out and maybe it will get better? I dunno, seems to happen this time of year also as I briefly remember the same thing happening last year. Also seems to happen each time I go back home, well not home but to TX, for a few days as came back in the same kind of blah mood the last time too!??! Who knows, but hopefully I will get it all figured out soon enough...Hard to explain though, it seems like the some of the things I used to hate, now aren't so bad. Then in the same breath the things that seemed small or insignificant before are the things that I mIss the most right now :(

Hey duckie babe! :D

Ok questions...
1) What are ladders? (You or Bunz can take this one)
2) What does PR stand for? Personal Record?
3) I know vacuums are ab work... but how do you do it?
4) When it says tempo... what does a 222 or a 301 mean?

I like how you log your days with your soreness and all. I'd like mine to be detailed too or try new timing for lifts, etc., so I'm asking lots of questions! :qt:

Why hellllllllllo sweetie!!!

Ok answers... :lmao:
1) Ladders were a suggestion from Buns that I am gonna try out and its 30 sec at level 8, 30 sec recover, 30 sec level 10, 30 sec recover, 30 sec level 12, 1 minute recover... then repeat (I think I got that right anyways)
2) Yup you got it, PR= personal record
3) Vacuums are ab work, and you basically hold your abs in (contracted)
4) 222= 2 seconds up, 2 second hold, 2 seconds down
301= 3 seconds up, no hold, 1 second back down
311= 3 seconds up, 1 second hold, 1 second back down

Hope that helps you out a little bit ;)

Good evening duckie. Hope your holidays are going well.
I'm gonna try some Pumpkin pancakes in the morning. Do you just add the pumpkin to the mix, or do you add spices too? & how much raw pumpkin do you put in?
Thnx

Im trying to help SBT kick her @$$ more than she already does on the step mill :)
She's got a HIIT cardio brain like me that needs to be constantly adjusted to make cardio fun :)

The ladders were suggest opposed to the drop sets (i.e. a triple drop on step would be like level 15, level 11, level 7, then recover @ level 3-4, then you ramp up again & drop back down... ) She's just starting back to HIIT (correct me if Im wrong) like I started a few weeks ago and my endurance is gone (I do not like it at all btw) so I gave her another way to try & get a good/not boring/hard step mill workout without feeling too bad while working back up to her normal level of KAC (Kick Ass Cardio).

Adjust levels according to me machine as they vary. I love doing tempo'd workouts, TC if you have never done more than just 'reps' & up & down or hitting 'failure', try it out, it's GREAT.

To elaborate on the vac's...pull your belly muscles in tight and flex them, like you were sucking in really hard... only you have to breathe :) then release the breath while still holding the abs in, and squeeze them for anywhere 10-15 seconds when just starting.

Hey you!!!!
Its really all up to you, and I don't use any mix I just use pumpkin, oats and eggs... you can adjust levels and measurements according to your likes though! Mine is prob different every time ;)

Thanks for the descriptions of the vacs -- that helps a lot. Do y'all see results from those? I think I feel like I'd do it and feel too silly to be persistant about it. How do you do them -- standing or lying down or sitting? On a boat with a goat? In the house with a mouse? (Sorry, I couldn't resist! :D )

ROTFLMAO

I am called "teacher" "teacher" all day long.

Glimpse into my day:
Picture a 5 year old tapping you on the hip saying "teacher teacher teacher". Now multiply that by 58 children. A.L.L. D.A.Y. L.O.N.G.

My reply? "I AM NOT A DOORBELL!" or I respond "Student student student". This usually gets a look of confusion before they launch into whatever drama is going on.

Yesssss!!! :lmao:

For real, I put my foot down 2 months ago and said "From this day on, I will no longer respond to MISS. It's Miss T or Miss T........., but NOT Miss! Heck, make me a nickname, just NOT Miss!"

Students: "Can we call you Mama T?"

Me: "Sure, go for it."

That worked.

Other example:

Student 1: "Miss! Hey Miss! Miss! MISSSSSS!!!!"

Student 2: "It's Miss T@*&$&*, STUPID!!!"

Student 1: "Ohhh... Miss T$&#&I#I#"

Me: "Ah yes, can I help you?" :D

I'm such a smart ass :)

$.02
You can to the standing, sitting or on all fours. Here is a link for a kneeling view...
http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/TransverseAbdominus/AbdominalVacuum.html

You'll get to the point where you are there for you and don't care what anyone else thinks about what you are doing. You are ultimately not there to impress any of them, remember that.

If you want to do it at home away from everyone until you feel comfortable or to the point you just don't care, go for it :)

Ha that's funny about the mama T... I do that all the time :splat:

Well... they are all new as of last week and trust me I don't like the way they feel on your arms either or the nasty little bruises they leave. But my glutes are killing me today so must be hitting something the right way :)
WOooooooo hoooooo!!! So how are you liking the workout so far?

Great Leg Day girl! Sorry to hear about the mood, hopefully a little better today. Stay with the positive attitude, it will make a difference. :rose:

Mood: Getting better.... basically the LONG story in a nutshell, is that my brother (or should I say my brothers fiance) decided that they no longer want me in their wedding that is taking place in 4 weeks :( SO needless to say it bummed me out, especially since my brother couldn't even relay the message himself but had my dad tell me!!!
Weight: 149.9
