So chicken and steak can getting seriously boring with no flavor! Some times i use fat free italian dressing to maranade my chicken, or a low fat low sodium maranade for my steak. I would luv to throw some jonny season all in the mix but i know is not good, but pepper is getting old. Could use some ideas to add healthy flavor when cutting.

why no jonny's? its not fatty, the sodium isnt great, just dont use a lot, go to a health food store and get lots of basil, parsley, garlic powder, and other herbs & spices, just check out everything and give a bunch a try, you dont need dressings, seasonings are all natural, healthy and add great flavor. WARNING: you may start feelin like a hippy, but hippies actually know a thing or 2 about eating healthy while keeping the flavor in the diet

If you want to use dried spices/herbs, mix em with a little oil first and let them sit overnight on the meat if possible. Otherwise, the flavor will only penetrate the top layer of meat. BBQ rubs are awesome, most stores sell a couple, or I can list some recipes for some if you want.

I use Lawry's 30 min marinades quite a bit, I love the sesame ginger.

hippies dont know anything about anything (not knocking spices i love them, just knockin hippies) lol anyways walden farms makes some great sug/fat/cal free dressings, pasta sauces, and bbq sauces, personally love the bbq sauce as a marinade fro both chicken and steak hard to find the stuff in stores but netrition caries their stuff and they also have their own website.
