Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & CA Bound

Hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait!!!! lol

Hey, how 'bout some fondu at Dante's?!?!?!?!? Love that place!

Good luck on the interview.....miss college girl! :rose:

35 min phone call over! I *think* it went good. Of course he didnt' ask any of the stuff I spent the last 36 hrs studying, but O well. I'm a better person for the experience  But for the stuff I was sort of figured out later what he was probably getting at, I wrote a nice 1 page suck up / follow up email to CYA.

So far, so good....

Now I want a nap. But I really need to give HH her Protan & hit the gym.

GLad to hear that it went well :D WIshing you the best :rose: Heres' one for ya...

Sooo true! I sent a good suck up email to the guy just to let them know I know my stuff.

So tonite I actually made it to the gym! Full body nite.

17 Aug 2006 (Thurs)

Diet -- I just kept this real light today so not worth listing -- did a little stress eating but cleared out now.

TRaining

10 min static warm up

Cardio:20 min elliptical (ran out of time)

Probably the highlight of the nite was 2 muscle guys came in, started talking to them, found they compete in GA so we bullshitted about the politics here, etc etc. Nice to find a little 'hardcore' in the neighborhood.

My realtor emailed me tonite and said that he thinks he has convinced the realtor of the people who were interested in my house but didn't think they could make the numbers work, to make an offer any way. He also sent me the recent sales & prices in my complex. So I've been up all nite thinking about the chance for an offer and how low they would go on it and what I would be willing to accept to unload my property, particularly before property taxes are due in October.....

Dammit, now I can't sleep at all on the subject....

Thx girl. Still waiting patiently.... (theme from Jeopardy playing in the background...)

Hey sarge - the first day I tried them I started working w/ the weighted barbells first just to get the feel w/ the wide grip - started 30 lb, then 40 lb, then 50 lb, then switched to the standard bar on the squat rack. I consider these 'warm up sets" so I keep the weight low and focus on being able to not waver around for a full 10 reps at least. I tend to stop at the 10 lb plates on the bar for 10. I will do variations on the set up tho - do a full "clean & hang" and all that, may do several - i.e. a full from the floor, pull & up on each rep as well. Then go into my super sets of a type of squat - front / back / box + step ups w/ DBs.

I actually like the whole routine of squat / press / pull. I up it a little w/ the super sets but it makes it a little more aerobic. Im' really loving the sprint drills I do prior -- feels like my core in general is stronger and my calves are cutting up. I have huge calves but they tend to hold water, so the sprints make the difference there.

Very cool... thanks! ... I can imagine the core gets a great deal of work from the OH Squating... that's great!

I want to try them at some point... so i can develop a nice snatch (lol... out of the gutter!!).

I agree... I've winded myself doing fast power cleans before very easily... although i've never been conditiond for alot of cardio.

Hey, Sass! Good luck on the house deal. I hope their offer is reasonable. I have an image of you chasing them down the street with a dumbell raised if they don't! lol

I was watching someone do OH squats the other day and thought it looked like a nice add-in. I hope I don't look like an ass doing my first set! ha ha

I totally started out w/ the straight weighted barbells away from everyone else. Though I had a lot of people looking at me funny. If you just make it look like you know what you are doing and get really into it, people start to think you are like a PL master or something. LMAO carry some chalk w/ you....

Well interestingly I have a phone interview w/ a local company next Friday. No additional news on anything except I just posted ads in the local paper to sell stuff I pretty much cant' take anywhere w/ me -like my Precor, my gas grill, my roman chair / hyper extension, an extra TV, a pair of bar stools. That's a start for now. Let's see if anyone in ATL reads the classifieds...

Niiice!!! Pre-GL on the interview Friday!

Ouuu!! Make yard sale signs maybe?? ...post on corners of streets near you... like "Next Saturday Morning 10:00am Yard Sale.. <addresshere>" ... meeeyyybe

Hey hot stuff ;)

Well you know they are supposed to be core strength moves, so regardless of the weight you can just say its all about the core strength. But it doesn't look real good when you fall over w/ a 30 lb barbell....

I talked to the realtor on Fri - they really didn't have any business looking in this community - their suggested offer was about $30K below the going prices here. Both the buyer & their realtor are very new so I'm really surprised they were even looking here. So nothing doin' there....

NEXT!

Hi J! I hope you slept some! What is an OH squat???? Overhead? Between to benches with weight on belt? I am trying to figure it out! LOL...
I hope realty matter is better!

Well that sucks but waddaya' gonna' do....right? Eh.....back to square one. Do you have a bulletin board in the locker room at your gym? People have all kinds of stuff on ours - including a house for sale. It's a thought.....

:rose: luck to you :rose:

Well good vibes are in the air cuz I got the job I wanted....so I'm positive you are next so hang in there!!

My thoughts... ! thx jens! Are you excited?

SG- there really isn't a bulletin board there - but I also heard there's something like 92,000 homes for sale in ATL.... It gets a little crazy... I've got some of my stuff in the newspaper - gotten 4 calls on my 27" tv so far. If I'd have known TVs were so popular I'd have charged more.... Now about that Precor.... Gotta get my stuff on Craiglist too.

So today I got to meet up w/ Shadow & HH at HH's show! Always so nice to see people again! HH looked fantastic (we have the same suit maker ;) ) The figure classes were decent size, but overall a small show. Get this - 1 lone female BB. She looked ok , but serioulsy, 4 weeks of dieting & I'd have a trophy & a qualification for the NPC nationals...

My camera battery died after the A Class 2 piece figure girls, so I fell back on my camera phone. Will post pix as soon as I get those photos emailed off my phone.. (ugh... probably going to be selective... takes too long...)

Our state show was the same way....1 bb female - she looked awesome tho and probably coulda' taken first in her class if there WERE any more. She was pretty ticked that there was no competition for her.

Way to luck out..huh? Then again....if that's the case, it would be disappointing not to have another in your class.

Hi girls :) Waiting for this lady to come by & look at my TV for sale. I sold some bar stools earlier today. Starting to at least get rid of the excess here. Last nite went to a party - friend of a friend thing but pretty good networking opp - lots of people in the wireless industry. It was good but enjoyed a few margaritas. Actually ate very well - i.e. they had a fantastic catered dinner / buffet. Stayed there overnite because of the 45 min drive home, and then got back around 11 am this morning. Actually no hang over -- mostly a bit dehydrated. There wasn't much around to eat after they cleaned up the buffet. I was invited to go hang out at the lake, but a nice big fat lightening storm killed that option. I guess now I'm just gonna gear up for the week.

Still need to see what pix I can get off my camera - the battery died and I have to get a new one. Blah technology.

Howdy beautiful! Glad you are having a good weekend... ;) And best of luck with the rest of your stuff for sale as well :rose:

Hey girls - happy monday :)

Well - decided to toss all the pix I took - just trash really. Too small to see anything. They have posted the 'official' show photos tho which I put a link to on the sticky.

Just getting back into the daily job thing again. Was contacted by someone regarding my gas grill, so that's one less thing to have to move w/... Slowly but surely...

Still waiting to hear back from the guy re: gas grill, but he might be interested in buying my other stuff too... please please please!

In the mean time, good diet & training day - a little watery from the weekend's escapades (ok the margaritas...) So just keepin' it clean dietwise. I guess next goal is to tighten up a bit for the next scheduled jaunt out to CA in 3 weeks-ish.

Training - full body day again.

Cardio warm up- 6 min elliptical

Skipped the mobility warm up due to all the aerobics rooms being used so opted for more aerobic approach to "squats" -- lunges & step ups

Super (legs):
- walking lunges: 20/50 x 3
- step ups: 25/25 x 3 (alt legs)
Super (push):
- flat bench press: bar/20 35/10 45/10
- cable x-over: 15/15 20/15

-- then someone took my bench &cables so substituted 2 sets each of:
- hammer strength low press: 70(each side)/15 x 2
- pec dec: 80/20 x 2

Super (pull):
- pull ups: close grip body/8 med grip-body/6 wide grip-body/6
- cable rows: 100/15 x 3

Cardio: stepper - 35 min solid pace! (Helped A LOT that "Independence Day" was playing on the big screen!)

I "had" to drink -- it was part of the socializing aspect of networking for a new job ... ;) The only problem is that everyone else around me got so blasted they forgot to give me their business cards before they passed out

You know I'm all for anyone who wants to party & let loose, but there's just something "not right" about the head of a company's global marketing dept doing air guitar & flying splits to heavy metal music at 2 am after waaay too many margaritas & Stella Artois beers.... And this guy is one of my hot business contacts....

I wonder WHAT the owner does??? LMAO
Sassy can you explain again...LOL...
Why you cannot gain muscle on a restricted diet, and why when you do add muscle it always comes with the ugly part..."fat" then you cut...
What if someone is trying to gain muscle and is doing 1 hr. at least of cardio.
I think they will not gain muscle nor get cut...How can I explain this to BF?

OK see if this makes sense - your goal is to build muscle but lose bodyfat right? So what resources do you have to work with:

Nutrients: protein, fat, carb
Training: resistance training, cardio.

It takes protein to provide the stuff to build muscle, takes carbs to fuel the muscle building. But I'm not sure you can determine exactly how much to consume for exactly only muscle building and not fat depositing. This would also require knowing & executign exactly how much training to do to burn exactly the amount so all the energy is put into muscle building and none deposited as fat.

Carb cycling seems to be a great way to minimize muscle loss while cutting fat -- it provides energy to fuel training, if you eat enough protein, that continues to support muscle maintenance. But again - is it enough to drop bodyfat but also build muscle ? Again I think you'd have to have it down to an exact science.

Like we've said before, if you are new to the whole diet & training thing, you can probably pull off both muscle building and fat loss simply because these are two functions that your body wants to do because it wants to run efficiently, but if you've spent your whole life eating poor quality foods and too much or not enough, your body will probably fly right into this new adventure of getting all the crap cleaned out & runnign efficiently in response to the new demands on it & the cleaner fuel. But this only happens for a while. Eventually when you have set up an efficient burn rate, it can't really pull off one or the other.

But its also not really like its ONLY one or the other - increasing muscle mass also promotes more efficiently burning of fat.

As far as building muscle while doing an hour of cardio - you could sort of think of it as dropping the bodyfat to better expose the muscle you do have. Especially for women, that does achieve the usually goal of "toned" look. If you are seriously looking to increase your muscle mass, say for example, you've done a competition, stripped down your bodyfat to see what God gave you to work with - being the natural shape you were born with including where you tend to hold more bodyfat and where are your wearker muscle groups and then you decide you need to build up your lats for a more balanced top to bottom symmetry -- you just can't really make a significant change in the mass of muscle in your lats if you dont eat to fuel growth, eat to provide the stuff to build that muscle and then train to build those specific muscles. Then you are back to finding that completely optimized balance to build muscle but keep bodyfat to a minimum. And to that end, if you aren't sure how much muscle you want or how fast you want it to develop, you still need to eat to support that growth potential and not let insufficient nutrients limit your growth / strength.

At this point I also have to defer to Shadow or someone w/ a little more info about what one might call the "secondary" level of muscle building / fat burning. These dont' just happen while you are training - the processes also continue after you are done, during the recovery time, etc.

So I guess in summary - the reason is that you can't know the exact optimum amounts of each nutrient and training / recovery / type of training to do nothign but exactly the goal you are after - so there will either be a fat burning w/ a small cost in muscle mass or muscle building w/ a small cost in excess fat deposited. Because these are two slightly contradictory goals, they are just not conducive to trying to do at the same time. So for better, more predictable results, you do the off season / on season - bulk / cut phases.

That said, doesnt' mean you have to gain a whole shitload of fat while building muscle.. you can keep these limited - but you can't expect really amazing muscle growth on a restricted diet. I'd probably also reference a restricted diet in terms of minimum variety of nutrients - e.g. enzymes from fruits - if you are increasing your protein and other stuff for the building process, common sense says you will also have more by product of the metabolizing of all these nutrients as well - so you need your body's garbage clean up system to work efficiently as well. A restricted variety diet won't respond well in that area. So again looking at the phased approach - you can do a phase of "detox dieting" after a phase of restricted diet to get your system back in optimal order.

Gaining a lot of fat in a "bulking" cycle is an excuse to eat everything in sight...there ARE much better ways

The Shadow said:

shhhhhhhhh

I love my M&M's ;)

Thanks J! The whole idea is for BF who does triathlon to understand He cannot have both triathlon podiums, (Heavy duty training twice a day bike/run, or swim/run) and eat low protein, high carb...and gain size with weights (which he started lifting two weeks ago).
My oh my....Only Action heroes have size, definition, and are fast as hell...LMAO...Only on tv right?

Its sort of a balance between the two goals -- they are diametrically opposed so you just really can't expect to force your body to do both at the same time. I agree w/ Shadow - to "bulk" you don't have to gain 50 lbs & then cut it back down - but you can do a clean bulk and see how it works for you. I know other people who seem to respond better to a 'dirty' bulk. There also, a program may look great on paper, but the only way to know if it works is to try it. But there, because it is still part of the life you have to live every day, if you want try to cut & bulk at the same time, you havr to do 1000% of your program just to see if it works at all. But personally I think a big part of the challenge is that nutrition really isnt an exact science because we only understand the top layers of our body's response to it - i..e ok I see that carb cycling will drop bodyfat. But how big is the impact of cutting fruit (enzymes) from my diet in keepign the garbage shuttling process efficient? All sorts of trade offs because everythign that happens in your body is a balance between turning on & turning off various functions in response to what you ingest and the whole chemical balance going on. If one part gets backed up, that can propogate to a whole bunch of other things that might actually be very harmful but not show themselves until much further down the road when you couldn't have guessed what was going on unless you were doing full blood panels every week.

So to that end, its easier to stick to the more 'macro level' programs that leave room for adjustment and are very focused on achieving just one goal at a time. Trying to do more than that introduces too many variables and can be an exercise in conflicting actions that really don't get you anywhere.

Its sort of like the saying that there is good, fast & cheap - you can have 2 of the 3.

LOL I didn't want to make him feel bad.....

I was laughing when I walked into the gym- it was slammed, as you usually expect on a Monday after a hot weekend.... Completely slammed. Except for the squat rack. One skinny guy doing barbell curls. My gym is soooo not hard core. Or the girl who does every exercise you can imagine while holdign on to the 8 lb weights standing in the squat cage.

My ass still hurts from the stepper tho. I LOVE Adipokinetix! I have a stash that is a few yrs old - it takes 2 caps to get any response out of it, but its the smoothest thermo kick I've ever experienced! LOVE MA NYC!

I agree 100%..You cannot serve two masters!
I on the other hand, must eat clean really clean or fat will deposit in it's favorite areas.
I think if training is heavy in cardio sessions,(which are also heavy workloads) which for him are sprints, long distance runs, steps. Bike on hills longs rides, and swimming 2000 at least daily, and protein intake is low, I think he will eat up all his muscle. I understand carb intake is a must, YET I would not lower protein intake, I think that is one of the reasons lesions appear.

I was like you love wha??? Ahhh NYC - Caff/Noreph/Yohimbine HCL lol. I still have a bottle, I tried it again just before I had my 'little hiatus' and was taking 2, when one would kick my butt back in the day. Literally made my skin crawl, then this time around barely did anything. Boys thought because it was 'shelved' for so long... I am thinking my adrenals were a factor. Last 3 days, I've tried the CB again after another LONG break, and it's been ok so far.

I was meaning to ask you, did you see J at the show? PM if you wish ;)

I'd probably agree -- at least go by the rule of thumb 1-1.2 x your body weight in protein to maintain - and for guy, probably more like 1.5x. I would challenge him to relook at his protein intake, adjust up and see how it works for him. Also look at the quality of the carbs- for the calories of carbs consumed, is he getting the best quality for the demands of his body. If speed and agility are a demand on him, I'm guessing he doesnt' want to let the total calories get too wild, so in order to increase the protein, might need to optimize the calories taken up by carbs & fats.

A thought on achieving two goals at the same time - not so much the "look" but rather strength, I am thinking of our little hottie, Shades McCool - here is a college age guy, around 180 lb, who can run a fast 40 m dash while being able to deadlift 500 lb. Most of the power lifting guys are pushing 300 lb and feel they need to be that big to do competiton quality lifts - but Shades is a guy you'd probably never suspect of that amount of strength - so he's acheived amazing power & agility while not having bodyweight that would compromise his speed. Granted endurance training is slightly different than just sprinting, but at least making some tweaks to the diet will get more in the direction of at least preserving muscle mass vs completely sacrificing it.

Sassy just hit on a point that I have talked about for years.

Size vs. Strength training - while related they ARE separate goals.

Shades is a great example...as are a LOT of professional strongmen who get stronger and stronger year after year without jumping weight classes

Updates: work -- the guy i needed to set up the next phone interview was out sick on Monday, I waited Tues if he would take some action, nothing, so today I will give him a call (PST time). I have a phone interview w/ a local company here on Friday - I think essentially I will use that as interview practice and also the first company I'm interviewing w/ is in the same business so its all worthwhile 'competitive knowledge'. Thx to a very awesome person, I just got a lead on another company in Irvine that, per the email I just got, I should be expecting a call today....

*** fingers crossed ***

At least then I'd have an income to cover a rental and my mortgage so I don't have to entertain bullshit deals like the following....

House: omg - this stupid couple who were interested in my house but didn't make an offer - ok my realtor pushed them to at least make an offer as I had spent time putting together a list of my property taxes, utilities, etc. In conversation he said their realtor mentioned a number about $30K below my asking price. Granted the actual sale rates are lower than the asking price, but that's why you make an offer and negotiate. I'd expect that in any market. So he laughed when the number was suggested, so I assumed that they wouldn't bother w/ an actual offer because they were so far out of the ballpark they shouldn't have even been looking in this community. Well this mornign he calls and says they made a written offer, not only $35K lower than my ask price, BUT also wanted $2500 carpet allowance, $5000 towards closing fees, and a bunch of other stuff. In other words - here's the deed to my house + $17,000 and you can have the house. That's just ignorant. I think he might actually tell them to their face to go look at somthing they can afford. Wow.

Anyway. That's where I am today....

But as Bunny's log shows her daily 'affirmations' and positive thoughts, I continue to have a very positive outlook on life. I relish the friends I have even if they dont' live down the street. I had such a great time see Shadow again. HH looked beautiful on stage and I got to see a number of other people I knew, including the tall girl in red in HH's pictures - we were cardio buddies last summer while we were both prepping for shows at 5 am every day. She's a beautiful girl and it was so nice to see her on stage. Shadow, I can't thank you enough for making it to the morning show and even though the show itself was not the best I've seen, it was nice to commiserate with you ;) (I think we're both getting a little jaded at the competitive world....) HH - was fantastic to see you as well and I'm so glad my protan got used! I wish I coudl've made the afterparty, but I did make some fantastic connections for job hunting and killed a couple of REALLY GOOD margaritas later that night!

Probably my biggest frustration right now is that I've got so much to offer the tech world and I get so excited about the amazing technology & opportunities that are out there and I just can't execute on any of them yet. I got reconnected w/a guy I worked w/ at my last corporate job and he confirmed that that place is just as screwed up as ever, so I don't regret leaving for a minute - ironically they even have my same position posted for hire right now - I coudl've conceivably applied for it & definitiely woudl've gotten it as they are trying to resurrect a hyuge email project that I worked on for a year and they decided to cancel, despite havng already committed $1M to it. However, I think I rpobably woudl've spent the balance of any income on a good therapist had I returned to that nut house.

I am biding my time now, but I am very hopeful and positive about the future. Ive allowed myself to be a little frustrated these last few days diet-wise, but I had such a killer training session on Monday that my glutes are STILL sore. Back at it today. With a vengeance! (Or at least after 9 am PST....!)

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Sassy is truly a class act.

She and HH are two of my favorite people...period - ef or no ef.

I think the three of us should open a PT salon in the ATL area.

Well hurry up then! I need a job dammit! OR build a studio gym in my basement since no one is buying my house! I've already got an Ellitpical & a ham / glute hyperextension bench! The "Cardio Theater" is already in place w/ cable / HBO, sound system, etc.

J! I can imagine how you feel! I wish I could give you a hug and the CEO of my non exustant company...
You must know...IF I owned one...YOU'D BE MY CEO! Plus great pay...:rose:

You girls are so sweeeeeeeeet! Its been a crappy week -- but it happens and I guess its passed. Diet nose-dived a bit in conjunction w/ my attitude, but back on track. Mostly cuz I have no appetite at all right now so I may just run w/ that for a few days.

I had a realtor come thru my house at 10:30 this morning and then had what I think was an excellent phone interview just now w/ a company locally - literally 10 min up the road. Oh the irony. THey are direct competitors of the company I got the rejection call from yesterday. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

But anyway... .While driving around waiting for the realtor to go thru my house this morning I walked thru a local Pier 1 (LOVE THEIR FURNITURE...!) and then hit the discount shelf at Borders. I bought a "How to draw animals" thing for $7. That will be my personal relaxation time today.

As a friend has reminded me, patience is a virtue, and as my cat reminds me every minute, "don't sweat life .. just lay back & let someone scratch your belly!"

not that I am one to talk but :velvett: (diet)

The positive thing is people are looking at the house! You should post up a pict of the first animal you draw!

lol I was just thinking that -- it may look like somethign my 5 yr old nephew drew..e.g. blue stick moose or something... we'll see...

OMG I made it back to the gym! As per the above whiner posts, its been a rough week, very probably a hormonal thing as well. I've just noticed a very tangible feeling of depression and lack of energy. Sometimes it happens, so I let it happen, dealt w/ it, indulged the diet a little and now I'm back on track, again proving to myself how therapeutic the gym is and how a bag of even my favorite m&ms just doesn't really fix anything. I'm still pretty consistent w/ no appetite so its absolutely been boredom or frustration eating. Again, this whole proving to myself that the junk food doesn't satisfy anything. I will say I've had a couple of the South Beach Diet pizzas - they were on sale for $2.50 per -- I've had the most obscene craving for jalapenos lately so I've gotten the cheese pizzas (around 300 cals, 35 g carb) & loaded them up w/ grilled chicken & jalapenos - not really a bad meal and certainly fixes the hot craving.

Anyway ...

Training: went a little extra on the legs today since I've been on my ass the last 4 days....

OH Squats: bar/20 10/12 15/10
front ATF squats: bar/20 10/10 20/6 (knees hating me today)

Rotator warmup:

looks like a great workout! I always say something is better than nothing and that IS SOMETHING! AWESOME! That is also one area that you can control in your life.

Those jalapenos should fire you right up for the next interview!

LMAO! Its ok for the phone interviews, but not the face to face ones...!

Actually the speaker phone feature on my cell phone worked great for my last phone interview! However my cat kept trying to sit on the phone....

OK, so today was another gorgeous day in GA. I spent the morning cleaning the house and getting ready for a 2 pm open house w/ my realtor.

2 pm rolls around, I haven't heard from him & no one is at the house yet. 2:10 I hear the front door open. Its 2 ladies who I have no idea who they are. I scared them because they expected the house to be empty. Apparently my realtor asked them to run the open house. And dammit, they brought cookies.

So we stood around for about 20 min & chatted. They met my cat and then he enslaved them w/ his chubby cuteness. Then I headed for gym. 2 hrs later I came back, 2 people had come to see the house but didnt' hear anything about interest. Maybe they will come back later this week. But the worst part is that these nice ladies left a plateful of those fucking cookies. Do I throw them out or just eat them judiciously? Decision delayed until later.

BTW my goal right now is drop whatever I can before heading back out to CA for a conference in 2 weeks. (I shoudl probably throw the damn cookies.)

Training: 'cardio day' - however since I took off 4 days this week, I threw in some tris since my pull ups worked the crap out of my biceps yesterday.

Warm up - 6 min elliptical

Giant set (tris):
- skull crushers + presses: 50/12 + 50/12 x 3
- straight bar cable press downs: 50/10 40/10 40/10 -- 4 tut
- DB kick backs (pronated + supinated): 15/20 x 3

Abs:
- fit ball cable crunch (lower abs): 60/25 x 3
- fit ball cabe crunch (upper abs): 15/25 x 3
- kneeling cable crunches: center: 90/20 left / right obliques: 90/10 x 2

"core":
- cable hi-low woodchop: 45/20 x 2
- cable low-hi woodchop: 40/20 x 2

Cardio:
- 5 min stepper (this kicked my ass today - I think my glutes hurt too much from yesterday)
- 20 min treadmill HIIT! I was so excited just to have enough kick to even do this...

I hope you're doing great, I made a kind of rissotto today for BF...hope you like it when you do eat carbs...LOL..
White rice 1 C/ 3C water, diced tomato, diced mozzarella, sea salt, bring water to a boil, and mix ingredients, and simmer.
I use bean "broth" instead of water and it is so good!!!!!!!!!!

Wow that sounds good! So far my most exciting carbs have been South Beach Diet pizza....

I ate a couple last nite & then threw them out. As good as they sound, they never really sit that well w/ me -- its like I can feel the butter coming out on my skin all the time. :(

Well today I woke up to the recruiter for this job in ATL calling me to say I can expect an onsite interview on Friday. (Shit.)

Then while I'm still laying around in bed, someone comes in the front door. Holy crap. Realtor! I never got the courtesy call she said she made, but then my cell phone reception at the back of the house can be iffy. So they said they would come back - I packed up and headed to the gym for an hr. I really have no idea if they came back yet. The guy she was takign around asked if I was firm on the asking price -- I was like -- (not out load..) Are you kidding? In this market I'll be happy toget a damn offer...) and then asked how quickly I could be moved out... well takes about 4 weeks to close so I guess in a month.... Anyway -- hopefully I will hear back from them. And hopefully I can drag out this local job situation. My luck I get an offer on the house & on the job on the same day. (Shit.)

Anyway -- focusing on a trip to CA in 2 weeks so trying to drop some of last week's frustration weight.. Its a cardio kinda world !

AM cardio:
30 min stepper + 15 min bike

Well I hope this guy is serious! Has good intentions...LOL...
I Sound like if I were your mother,a and He is asking you out!!!LOL.
Damn that "last week's frustration weight"...It creeps up like humidity!
I am doing average...Not alot of muscle gain, or so I think, but fat under @ss is receiding...not as I would like but Hey I am not getting any younger...
LOL and skin knows it...
So keep trying and hope HITT helps...I just read this and think it is a good comparison....

J! Have a great day!

Definitely a good article. At the moment, I'm taking all the cardio I can stand - that isn't usually much so when I get a burst of energy I run w/ it. I'm on the 2 week schedule right now, not concerned about muscle mass and partially need gym time to maintain sanity...

Thx girl -- its a long, slow, painful and very frustrating position to be in, but I'm a huge proponent of not staying in a negative situation. Unfortunately I always seem to pick extremely tough situations to move into. (Who said if it was that easy it wouldn't be worth doing??)

The butter thing- I know gross. But I've always had that issue w/ butter - just always seems like it comes out on my face - literally like I even have to go clean out my contact lenses. Nasty huh? Also excellent deterrent to eating "bad" food!
