But again, a rapid heartbeat and a-fib are two completely different things. Your pulse shooting to 225 for no reason in absence of a-fib is anxiety related. You said all tests came back normal right? So it is anxiety. They wouldn't give you xanax for a-fib....but they do for a panic attack.
Right now you have connected eating to the rapid heartbeat. So no matter what, every time you eat, your body is going to give you a surge of adrenaline because you think that your heart is going to start rapid firing. You get scared of something and your body produces the fight or flight reaction and amongst other things, secretes adrenaline. So what your brain is afraid of is having an episode like this.....and your body responds by releasing adrenaline....and it makes exactly what you don't want to happen, happen.
They perpetuate themselves. This can continue to get worse if you keep trying to find out "what is wrong with you", by staying in a state of anticipatory anxiety (that is fearing the next episode), and trying to fight when it is happening.
This is easier said than done, but you need to realize that it isn't dangerous and you almost have to welcome that feeling. If you feel your heart starting to race, almost challenge yourself by saying "is that all you got" or something to that affect. If it doesn't scare you, then it can't continue to happen. Because it is fear that makes it happen in the first place.
I can guess that you are probably about 21-25 right? It's about that age that guys start to realize their own mortality and the possibility of death, etc. It's also when you have to start living on your own, supporting yourself and maybe a family, etc.
Sorry for the long post. Get some things like l-theanine, valerian, or kava kava to keep you calm. Of course lifting helps, but so does cardio. It will help you get through this period and make it easier for you to realize that it is mostly an involuntary thing in your body and not something medically wrong.
Good luck bro.
